Claims

1. Tripod, consisting of an extendable rod, for holding in particular lights or flash units in photography or the like, whereby the tripod is supported on the ground via a base, characterized in that the base is designed as a case ( 3 ) which accommodates the pushed-together rod ( 2 ).

2. Tripod according to claim 1, characterized in that the rod ( 2 ) is fastened to or in the case ( 3 ) and does not protrude beyond the case ( 3 ) in the retracted state.

3. Tripod according to one or both of the preceding claims, characterized in that a plug connection is provided between the case ( 3 ) and the rod ( 2 ).

4. Tripod according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the opened case ( 3 ) serves as a base.

5. Tripod according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the case ( 3 ) consists of a base part ( 6 ) and a lid ( 7 ) which are connected to one another via a hinge ( 5 ) and the extendable rod ( 2 ) is arranged parallel to these in the region of the hinge ( 5 ).

Tripod according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the lid ( 7 ) and the base part ( 6 ) are connected by fixing elements ( 14 ) which ensure that the lid ( 7 ) and the base part ( 6 ) can be at least partially fixed to one another when the case ( 3 ) is in the open state.

7. Tripod according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that a cord or chain is provided as the fixing element ( 14 ).

8. Tripod according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that a folding rod is provided as the fixing element ( 14 ).

9. Tripod according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the extendable rod ( 2 ) consists of several sleeves ( 4 ) pushed into one another.

10. Tripod according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the outermost of the sleeves ( 4 ) of the rod ( 2 ) forms the hinge ( 5 ) between the base part ( 6 ) of the case ( 3 ) and the lid ( 7 ).

11. Tripod according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the rod ( 2 ) arranged in the case ( 3 ) can be extended both when the case ( 3 ) is closed and when it is open.

12. Tripod according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that carrying handles ( 11 , 12 ) and/or wheels ( 13 ) are provided on the case ( 3 ) for its transport.

13. Tripod according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the carrying handle ( 12 ) of the case ( 3 ) is extendable.

14. Tripod according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the case ( 3 ) is a hard-shell case.

15. Tripod according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that in addition to the rod ( 2 ), a power source ( 10 ), optionally accessories such as a lamp ( 8 ) or flash device are arranged in the case ( 3 ).

16. Tripod according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the power source ( 10 ) forms the shear point of the case ( 3 ) as a base when the tripod ( 1 ) is set up.
