Bei der Benutzung von elektrischen Rasenmähern muß das notwendige Elektrokabel in der Länge der zu mähenden Fläche ausgelegt und nach Beendigung der Arbeiten wieder eingeholt werden. Dadurch, daß das Elektrokabel während der Mäharbeiten auf der zu bearbeitenden Fläche liegt, ist eine ständige Korrektur seiner Lage notwendig, um es nicht mit den Messern des Rasenmähers zu zerschneiden und dadurch eine lebensbedrohliche Situation hervorzurufen.When using electric lawn mowers, the necessary electric cable must be laid out the length of the area to be mown and then pulled back in once work is finished. Da die an jeder Seite doppelten Befestigungsstreben an die Montagelaschen angeschraubt werden, wird eine unterschiedliche Holmenbreite an Rasenmähern verschiedener Fabrikate ausgeglichen. Bei der Vorwärtsbewegung des Rasenmähers wird das Elektrokabel gegen die Federkraft der Rückholfeder freigegeben und bleibt somit straff und liegt im Mähbereich nicht auf der Rasenfläche, gleiches geschieht bei der Rückwärtsbewegung des Rasenmähers, da die Rückholfeder das Elektrokabel straff einrollt.
