Die Erfindung betrifft einen Tampon und eine Vorrichtung zur Anwendung eines Tampons mit einem Tamponkopf und einem Tamponboden mit daran angeordnetem Sicherungsfaden.The invention relates to a tampon and a device for applying a tampon with a tampon head and a tampon base with a securing thread arranged thereon.

Die Anwendung von Tampons und deren intravaginale Einführung stößt häufig auf Schwierigkeiten. Um die Anwendung zu erleichtern, sind zahlreiche Applikationshilfen bekannt. Diese bestehen beispielsweise, wie in der WO 01/52785 Al angegeben, aus einer Einführhülse, in welcher ein Tampon eingesetzt ist, wobei innerhalb der Einführhülse verschiebbar eine Ausstoßhülse zum Ausstoßen des Tampons angebracht ist. Derartige Vorrichtungen weisen unter anderem den entscheidenden Nachteil auf, dass die Gesamtvorrichtung erheblich länger ist, als der Tampon an sich. Fertige Tamponapplikatoren sind bis zu 2 1/2 mal so lang, was Aufbewahrungs- und Transportschwierigkeiten mit sich bringt. Aus diesem Grunde sieht die WO 01/30291 Al eine Applikationshilfe vor, die zusammensteckbar ist und eine Kompression des Tampons während seiner Einführung bewirkt. Die bekannten Lösungen, etwa auch die aus der WO 00/78260 Al bekannte weitere Ausgestaltung eines Tamponapplikators weisen sämtlich den Nachteil auf, dass zusätzliche (Einweg-)Teile benötigt werden, die die Herstellung und Anwendung verteuern und ein zusätzliches Müllaufkommen bedeuten.The use of tampons and their intravaginal insertion often encounters difficulties.
