Gitarrensaiten können bekanntlich auf zwei grundsätzlich verschiedene Arten angeschlagen werden: mit den Fingern und mit einem Piektrum. Beim Anschlag mit dem Piektrum wird dieses normalerweise zwischen Daumen und Zeigefinger gehalten. Hieraus ergibt sich, daß es mit einem herkömmlichen Piektrum nicht ohne Weiteres möglich ist, frei und schnell zwischen Piektrumanschlag und Fingeranschlag, dem sogenannten Zupfen der Saiten, zu wechseln. Zwar kann sehr schnell vom Plektrumanschlag zum Zupfen übergegangen werden, in dem das Plektrum einfach fallengelassen wird. Um vom Zupfen wieder zum Piektrumspiel überzugehen, benötigt man dann jedoch ein neues Plektrum. Es gibt einige technische Konstruktionen, die dem Spieler eine gewisse Anzahl von neuen Plektren hintereinander zur Verfügung stellen, und die beispielsweise an der Gitarre oder an einem Mikrofonständer befestigt werden können, doch haften diesen Konstruktionen Nachteile an: Ein Gitarrist, der beispielsweifs gleichzeitig auch noch singt, hat in kritischen Momenten oft nicht die Möglichkeit, nach einem neuen Plektrum zu greifen, weil seine Konzentration an anderer Stelle beansprucht wird. Der Vorrat an Plektren ist endlich, der Plektrenverbrauch hoch. Claims

1. Plectrum for playing the guitar, characterized in that the plectrum has a finger holder by which it can be attached exclusively to the second joint of the index finger of the striking hand. When plucking the strings with the fingers, this plectrum - which remains in place and is immediately available - does not hinder any finger in its necessary freedom of movement.

2. Plectrum according to claim 1, characterized in that the - otherwise conventionally shaped - plectrum can have at least one hole for fastening the finger holder. This hole/these holes can be left out during the manufacture of the plectrum or can be added to a conventional plectrum later.

3. Plectrum according to claim 1, characterized in that the plectrum is attached to the index finger by a band that is as thin and as little elastic as possible (for example made of a thin cotton fabric), which is closed to form a ring around the second finger joint when the plectrum is put on and which is dimensioned such that the necessary freedom of movement of the finger for plucking the strings is not impaired.
