Für den Ausbau des UMTS/ GSM Netzes werden bislang erhebliche Aufwendungen der verschiedenen Netzbetreiber im Bereich der Planung, Konstruktion und Berechnung der einzelnen Antennenträger für die verschiedenen Dach-, bzw. Die zur Zeit üblichen Konstruktionen werden mit geflanschten, abgestuften Rundrohr Konstruktionen ( Ausreichende Steifigkeit bei relativ hohem Gewicht) realisiert. Des weiteren wird eine Schenkelseite der dreieckigen Grundfläche als Besteigeinrichtung sowie als statisch tragende Austeifung genutzt.
