Das in Fig. 1 in einer Seitenansicht dargestellte Darmspülgerät 1 weist im wesentlichen einen Transportrahmen 2 mit einem vertikalen Tragegestell 3 auf. Das Tragegestell 3 ist auf einer Befestigungsseite 4 mit einem Spül- und Abwasserbehälter 5 und 6 lösbar verbunden. Der Spülbehälter 5 kann mittels eines Druckbehälters 7 und einem entsprechenden Druckmedium über einen geeigneten Druckminderer 10 beaufschlagt werden. Der auf diese Weise in dem Spülbehälter 5 einzustellende Druck wird über ein Manometer 11 angezeigt. Zusätzlich ist der Spülbehälter 5 mit einem Thermometer 12 zur Anzeige der Temperatur einer in dem Spülbehälter 5 aufgenommenen Spülflüssigkeit 13 versehen. Die Spülflüssigkeit 13 kann über ein Absperrventil 14 mittels einer Schlauchzuführung 15 einem nicht weiter dargestellten Patienten über ) ein Speculum zugeführt werden. Dabei ist der Spülbehälter 5 mit einem Füllvermögen von ca. 10 Liter versehen. Das Füllvermögen es Abwasserbehälters 6 beträgt demgegenüber 13 bis 15 Liter. Dadurch, daß der Spülbehälter 6 aus einem durchsichtigen Material besteht, ist eine weitere Kontrollmöglichkeit geschaffen. Eher aus ästhetischen Gründen ist der Abwasserbehälter 6 aus einem undurchsichtigen Material gefertigt. Hierzu wird das Speculum ebenso wie die Schlauchrückführung 16 dem Patienten rektal eingeführt. Die Schlauchrückführung 16 mündet über eine Schlauchklemme 17 in weiterer Strömungsrichtung im Abwasserbehälter 6.
