Claims

1. Ball collecting machine with

- rollers ( 4 , 19 ) for movement,

- a first collecting container ( 11 ) for receiving the collected balls,

- a cylindrical drum ( 3 ) which is connected to at least one of the movement rollers ( 4 ) in such a way that it is set in rotation when the ball collecting machine moves in the forward direction ( 25 ), so that this movement roller ( 4 ) acts as a drum drive roller,

wherein the axis of rotation ( 5 ) of the drum ( 3 ) is parallel to the axis of the drum drive roller ( 4 ), and the drum is arranged at a height such that the smallest distance ( 27 ) between the cylinder surface of the drum ( 3 ) and the ground ( 2 ) corresponds substantially to the diameter of a ball ( 1 ) to be collected, and

- a ball guide device ( 7 ) arranged concentrically to the drum ( 3 ) and partially surrounding its outer surface at a radial distance ( 12 ) which corresponds approximately to the diameter of a ball ( 1 ) to be collected,

one end ( 8 ) of which ends in the space between the drum ( 3 ) and the base ( 2 ) in such a way that a ball ( 1 ) located in the space between the drum ( 3 ) and the base ( 2 ) is moved along the ball guide device ( 7 ) by frictional engagement with the drum ( 3 ) in order to be transported directly or indirectly into the collecting container ( 11 ).

2. Ball collecting machine according to claim 1, with a freewheel between the drum ( 3 ) and the drum drive roller ( 4 ), which decouples the connection between the drum drive roller ( 4 ) and the drum ( 3 ) when the ball collecting machine is moved against the forward direction ( 25 ).

3. Ball collecting machine according to one of claims 1 or 2, in which the outer surface of the drum ( 3 ) has increased frictional properties, preferably produced by a rubberized knobbed surface.

4. Ball collecting machine according to one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the drum ( 3 ) and the drum drive roller ( 4 ) which is connected to the drum ( 3 ) for driving it are mounted rotatably about the same axis ( 5 ).

5. Ball collecting machine according to one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the second end ( 9 ) of the ball guide device ( 7 ) points directly in the direction of the collecting container ( 11 ).

6. Ball collecting machine according to one of claims 1 to 5, with receiving arms ( 17 , 18 ) which, when the ball collecting machine moves in the forward direction ( 25 ), deflect balls ( 1 ) located on the floor ( 2 ) in the direction of the drum ( 3 ).

7. Ball collecting machine according to claim 6, wherein the receiving arms ( 17 , 18 ) have foldable end members ( 18 ).

8. Ball collecting machine according to one of claims 6 or 7, in which the receiving arms ( 17 , 18 ) are mounted on rollers ( 19 ) for movement.

9. Ball collecting machine according to one of claims 1 to 8, in which the collecting container ( 11 ) is arranged in front of the drum ( 3 ) in the direction of travel ( 25 ) of the ball collecting machine and the ball guiding device ( 7 ) surrounds at least the rear peripheral part of the drum ( 3 ) in the direction of travel ( 25 ) of the ball collecting machine.

10. Ball collecting machine according to one of claims 1 to 9 , with a holder ( 23 ) for a second receiving container ( 13 ) which has such external dimensions that it is interchangeable with the first receiving container ( 11 ).

11. Ball collecting machine according to one of claims 1 to 10, which is designed such that it can be pushed manually, for which purpose a pushing handle ( 15 ) is preferably provided.

12. Ball collecting machine according to one of claims 1 to 11 , wherein the distance of the ball guiding device ( 7 ) from the outer surface of the drum ( 3 ) corresponds approximately to the diameter of a tennis ball.

13. Ball collecting machine according to one of claims 1 to 12, wherein the radius of the drum ( 3 ) is approximately 13.6 cm and the inner radius of the ball guide device is approximately 20 cm.

14. Ball collecting machine according to one of claims 1 to 13, wherein the radius of the drive roller ( 4 ) is approximately 20 cm.

15. Ball collecting machine according to one of claims 1 to 14, wherein the width of the drum ( 3 ) transverse to the direction of travel ( 25 ) of the ball collecting machine is approximately 50 cm.

16. Ball collecting machine according to one of claims 1 to 15, wherein the ball guiding device ( 7 ) comprises a bent sheet, preferably a perforated sheet.
