The invention relates to a device for storing and transporting objects with a box-shaped housing with a base platform with receptacles for rod- or prong-shaped supporting elements of a lifting device.

Devices of this type are known as so-called lattice boxes and are widely used. These lattice boxes consist of a lower floor platform, which is formed by a wooden pallet with holders for forklift tines or the like, with side wall parts built around the wooden pallet, which are designed as a frame structure with lattice-like side wall fillings. Such lattice boxes are used to store and transport a wide variety of objects, for example objects produced or processed or partially processed during manufacturing processes are temporarily stored and transported in such lattice boxes. Such lattice boxes have long proven themselves particularly useful for these purposes.

In addition, devices of this type are also used on construction sites, for example, for the collection, storage and transport of lighter building materials such as sewage pipes, pipe sockets and the like. The lattice box-like devices are particularly suitable for such applications.

However, these systems have disadvantages. In particular, orderly storage of identical objects is only possible if only one and the same object is actually stored in a mesh box. However, since the storage volume of such mesh boxes is relatively large, such mesh boxes are either only partially filled and thus not used, or filled with a variety of objects, which leads to a corresponding disorder within the mesh box. Alternatively, several such mesh boxes can of course be used to store different objects separately, but this is correspondingly complex, not least because of the resulting loading and unloading of several mesh boxes onto and from a truck.

Furthermore, it is not possible to leave such a cage with an open top unattended and full, as objects can then easily be stolen. This disadvantage also applies to well-known transport boxes with open tops and compartments.

From FR 2,550,765 Al, an egg transport container with a number of floors for holding the eggs is known, whereby the floors can be pivoted to a certain extent in order to be able to remove the eggs easily. However, such an egg transport container is obviously intended for use on building sites and for the storage and transport of building materials.

The object of the invention is to further develop a generic device in such a way that an orderly and secure reception of various objects is possible.

This object is achieved according to the invention with a device of the type described at the outset in that the box-shaped housing is divided into a plurality of receiving chambers which are separate from one another and can be closed on all sides, wherein flap- and/or door-like, openable side wall parts are provided which are provided with a central locking system.

Such a device is therefore suitable for receiving different objects in an orderly manner by inserting matching objects into a specific receiving chamber of the housing. For example, when using the device on a construction site,

sewage pipes of various lengths and sizes, pipe sockets, pipe bends and the like can be accommodated separately within the device in the various receiving chambers. The device's storage volume is thus used optimally. Since there are receiving chambers that can be closed on all sides, the device can also be left unattended on a construction site or similar without any problem. Furthermore, the device can be loaded and transported easily; if it is large enough, only a single device is required to accommodate all the required objects. The flap- and/or door-like openable side wall sections enable particularly easy access to the various receiving chambers, whereby such a side wall section can be assigned to a single or several adjacent receiving chambers. These side wall sections are extremely easy to lock thanks to the central locking system, so that the device can be used on construction sites without any problem and without any risk of theft.

In a preferred embodiment, the box-shaped housing has at least one intermediate cover wall and receiving chambers are provided above and below the intermediate cover wall. In this way, depending on the total volume of the device and the intended use, devices with more or fewer receiving chambers can be realized.

The receiving chambers themselves can be of uniform or different sizes.

Furthermore, it is advantageously provided that at least some of the intermediate side wall parts separating the receiving chambers from one another are arranged adjustably in the housing. The intermediate side wall parts can be suspended for this purpose, for example. This makes it possible to make the size of the receiving chambers variable.

In order to be able to close the device as a whole, it is also preferably provided that the box-shaped housing has a cover plate on the top. This can optionally also be designed to be open, at least in part.

In a particularly preferred design, the box-shaped housing has a frame structure (preferably made of suitable metal profiles) with lattice-like side, floor and ceiling wall parts.

In this design, it is preferably provided for the transport of the device that the receptacles for the rod- or tine-shaped support elements of a lifting device, for example a forklift or pallet truck, are designed as tabs attached to the lower frame structure.

In addition, it is preferably also provided that lifting eyes are arranged on the top of the frame structure. The load hooks of a crane or the like can then be hooked into these lifting eyes, and the device can then be easily lifted.

A device according to the invention for storing and transporting objects has a box-shaped housing generally designated 1. This box-shaped housing 1 itself has a floor platform 2, which in the embodiment is designed in the form of a frame, with lattice-bar-like floor wall parts (not shown for the sake of clarity) being arranged between the individual frame parts, which primarily serve to

to prevent objects to be accommodated in the device from falling downwards out of the housing.

The frame-shaped floor platform 2 is arranged in each of its four corner areas on feet 3 in order to create a clear distance from a floor surface. This distance makes it possible to place stack- or prong-shaped support elements of a lifting device, for example a forklift or a pallet truck, under the floor platform 2. To guide these stack- or prong-shaped support elements of the lifting device, a receptacle is provided on each side of the floor platform 2, which is rectangular in the embodiment, which is designed as a tab 4 attached to the underside of the floor platform 2. These tabs 4 can each be welded to the underside of the frame-shaped floor platform 2; in principle, contrary to what is shown, two tabs 4 or even more can be provided on each side. However, one tab 4 is basically sufficient to guide the stack- or prong-shaped support elements of the lifting device.

Connected to the frame-shaped floor platform 2 are four sexten wall panels to form the box-shaped housing, each of which also consists of frame elements 5, 6, 7 and 8, between which also not shown lattice-bar-shaped sexten wall panels are arranged, which form a

The interior of the closed box-shaped housing 1 thus formed is divided into a plurality of separate receiving chambers, for which purpose in the embodiment an intermediate ceiling wall 10, also designed in the form of a frame, is arranged approximately halfway up the height of the housing 1 and is provided with lattice-bar-like intermediate ceiling wall parts (not shown). As a result, the interior of the housing 1 is already divided into two upper and lower areas, which in turn are divided by vertically extending intermediate side wall parts 11. These intermediate side wall parts 11 are in turn designed in the form of a frame and are provided with lattice-bar-like intermediate side wall parts (not shown).

The box-shaped housing 1 of the device thus has in its interior a plurality of separate receiving chambers, each receiving chamber serving to receive similar objects.

In the front longitudinal half of the housing 1, six receiving chambers are provided between the intermediate side wall parts 11, namely three next to each other and in two levels, all of which are the same size, while in the rear longitudinal half, one above the other, only two receiving chambers are provided that extend along the entire length. In the embodiment, the longer receiving chambers at the back are used to accommodate longer objects, e.g. sewage pipes, while the front receiving chambers are used for smaller objects, e.g. sewage pipe bends, pipe sleeves and the like. The intermediate side wall parts 11 can also be arranged in the housing 1 in an adjustable manner, e.g. suspended, which makes it possible to vary the size and number of the receiving chambers.

Since in the embodiment the box-shaped housing 1 is closed on all sides, it is necessary to provide flap-like and/or door-like openable side wall parts in order to enable access to the receiving chambers. In the embodiment, two openable side wall parts 6a extending over the entire length are provided on the front side above and below the intermediate deck wall 10, which are designed as flaps that can be pivoted about a horizontal axis. In the front short end wall, a flap designed as a door that can be pivoted about a vertical axis is provided in order to enable access to the rear receiving chambers.

The openable side wall parts 6a and 5a are particularly preferably provided with a central locking system. In the exemplary embodiment, as can best be seen in Figure 2, this consists first of a front L-shaped locking strip .12, which in the closed position of the side wall parts 6a can be folded forwards about a vertical axis from the opening position shown in Figures 1 and 2 over the pivoted-together side wall parts 6a into the closed position shown in Figures 3 and 4. In this closed position, the locking strip 12 can be locked by a further pivotable locking strip 13, which is pivotably articulated about a horizontal axis in the frame-shaped side wall part 12 and can be brought into a horizontal closed position when the door-shaped side wall part 5a is closed (Figures 3 and 4), which on the one hand enables the opening and closing of the side wall parts 6a and on the other ...

pivoting of the locking strip 12 out of the closed position and, on the other hand, pivoting of the side wall part 5a into the opening position is prevented. This locking strip 13 can be secured in the horizontal position, for example with a U-lock or the like, which is not shown.

Of course, other locking mechanisms are also possible; the one described above is merely a preferred embodiment. . ■ .

In the upper area of the frame structure or the upper cover plate 9, lifting eyes 14 are provided on at least two opposite sides, which enable the entire device to be lifted using the lifting hooks of a crane or the like. The device is also designed to be stackable, for which purpose the feet 3 and upper pins 15 on the box-shaped housing 1 are suitably designed.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment shown. Other designs are possible without departing from the basic idea. In particular, the walls of the housing 1 can also be designed differently, they can also be fully covered, for example by means of sheet metal side wall parts, and do not necessarily have to consist of lattice bar-shaped side wall parts and the like. ^-

Claims (7)

1. Device for storing and transporting objects with a box-shaped housing with a base platform with receptacles for rod- or prong-shaped support elements of a lifting device, characterized in that the box-shaped housing ( 1 ) is divided into a plurality of separate receiving chambers that can be closed on all sides, wherein flap- and/or door-like, openable side wall parts ( 5a , 6a ) are provided, which are provided with a central locking system ( 12 , 13 ). 2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the box-shaped housing ( 1 ) has at least one intermediate cover wall ( 10 ) and receiving chambers are provided above and below the intermediate cover wall ( 10 ). 3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that at least a part of the intermediate side wall parts ( 11 ) separating the receiving chambers from one another is adjustably arranged in the housing ( 1 ). 4. Device according to claim 1 or one of the following, characterized in that the box-shaped housing ( 1 ) has an upper cover plate ( 9 ). 5. Device according to claim 1 or one of the following, characterized in that the box-shaped housing ( 1 ) has a frame structure ( 2 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 ) with lattice-bar-like side, bottom and ceiling wall parts. 6. Device according to claim 1 or one of the following, characterized in that the receptacles for the rod- or tine-shaped support elements of a lifting device are designed as tabs ( 4 ) fastened to the lower frame structure. 7. Device according to claim 1 or one of the following, characterized in that support eyes ( 14 ) are arranged on the upper side of the frame structure.
