Commercially available bags of various sizes and depths have one or often several compartments, which are intended to give structure and a certain overview to the natural stacking of the items inside. By installing several compartments (with the help of dividers) or zipped pockets, attempts were made to optimise order and overview in order to counteract the well-known and annoying feeling and rummaging around for objects (women in particular are familiar with this problem), but - in my opinion - the results have so far been unsatisfactory.

The deeper a bag is, the more difficult it is (despite structured compartments) to see into it at this depth (especially in the dark or in poor lighting, such as in a restaurant) and to take out the object you are looking for (e.g. keys, wallet) in a targeted manner (and without annoying "rummaging around").

What is missing is an internal light source that provides and enables insight into the depth of the bag.

The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the problem of creating a bag which can be illuminated from the inside in any situation or in any light (even in the dark, weak illumination, etc.) and can thus be viewed so that a desired object can be removed in a targeted manner - without the annoying need to feel around and search.

This problem is solved with the feature set out in claim 1 (internally installed light source).

With the invention, the installed light source makes it possible to illuminate the bag and thus see into the depths with every illumination, so that an object that is being sought can be taken out of the utensils stored on top of and next to each other - the annoying rummaging and searching is thus eliminated.

An advantageous embodiment of the invention is specified in claim 2. A movable or flexible light source would enable a larger illumination radius and thus a more extensive illumination of the bottom of the bag and the corners.

Claims (3)

1. Internally illuminated bag (e.g. ladies' and men's bags, backpacks, briefcases, travel bags), characterized in that a light source (e.g. one or more light bulbs with protective casing, one or more light-emitting diodes) operated with a power source (e.g. rechargeable battery/button cell) and provided with an on/off switch mechanism, adapted to the size of the bag, is attached to one of the inner walls of the bag (preferably 2/3 of the way up). In the case of a flat design, the light source can be firmly integrated into the bag walls (not removable) or attached to the walls with the aid of a fixing mechanism (e.g. metal clasp). The on/off switch mechanism can be coupled with the mechanism for opening/closing the bag in such a way that the light source is automatically switched on when the bag is opened. 2. Bag according to protection claim 1, characterized in that the light source in the bag is modified in such a way that it is installed in a movable housing. A holder for the housing of the light source is conceivable, which enables rotating or pivoting movements of the light source (e.g. rotating mechanism, bending or articulated arm). Alternatively, the mobility of the light source can be made possible by a clamping device in the bag, which allows the light source to be removed, the power supply of which is then ensured by a power source integrated in the housing. 3. Separate installation kit for the interior lighting of bags, characterized in that a light source which meets the properties of claim 1 or 2 is designed as a separate kit which can be installed in different bags.
