The invention relates to an ethanol or methanol burner (Fig. 1) for insertion into an existing combustion chamber, such as open fireplaces, tiled stoves and heating fireplaces in general, according to the above term of patent claim 1, as well as an ethanol or methanol combustion chamber ( Fig. 2)), also called a fireplace insert, with a viewing window ( Fig. 7) made of ceramic glass without the necessary connection to the chimney, since the combustion of the ethanol or methanol does not produce soot, exhaust gases or other toxic substances, however it is recommended to provide ventilation to the outside, through the connection provided in the combustion chamber ( Fig. 7). These ethanol/methanol burners and their combustion chambers can vary in size without affecting their function.

A first important aspect of the invention is the ability to build an open fireplace or tiled stove even where there is no chimney or where one cannot be built, because with the known solid fuels such as wood, coal, peat, etc., as well as liquid fuels such as gas and heating oil, the combustion chambers require a flue to the chimney, because gases and toxic substances are produced when the above-mentioned fuels are burned.

The second important aspect of the invention is that it significantly protects the environment, since the combustion of ethanol/methanol only produces carbon dioxide / water .

Claims (13)

1. A fireplace insert intended for forming an open fireplace and for insertion into a combustion chamber, comprising a burner ( 9 ) and a housing, characterized in that the burner ( 9 ) is designed to burn ethanol/methanol, that the housing is formed from an inner part formed by a base plate ( 27 ), a rear wall ( 29 ) and an intermediate cover plate ( 30 ) and outer sides consisting of a cover plate ( 23 ), side walls ( 20 , 22 ) and a rear wall ( 21 ), and that the base plate ( 27 ) and the intermediate cover plate ( 30 ) are each provided with a strip ( 32 , 33 ) intended for slots ( 34 ) for guiding convection air. 2. Fireplace insert according to claim 1, characterized in that the burner ( 9 ) is arranged in a burner block which is designed and arranged for insertion into the base plate ( 27 ) of the housing. 3. Fireplace insert according to claim 1 or 2, characterized by a combustion door intended for closing the combustion chamber of the housing. 4. Fireplace insert according to claim 3, characterized in that the combustion door consists of an angle frame ( 35 ) enclosing a glass ceramic pane ( 36 ), articulated via two hinges ( 38 ) and lockable by a snap lock ( 37 ). 5. Fireplace insert according to one of the preceding claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the side walls ( 20 , 22 ) are provided with air openings ( 24 ) for introducing combustion air and that the intermediate cover plate ( 30 ) and the cover plate ( 23 ) are provided with openings ( 26 , 25 ) for ventilation. 6. Fireplace insert according to one of the preceding claims 2 to 5, characterized in that the burner block consists of a stainless steel pan closed by a cover plate ( 6 ) except for a central opening ( 7 ) located therein, that the stainless steel pan is divided on both sides of the middle by two partition walls ( 8 ), each forming a fuel container ( 10 ), the burner ( 9 ) being arranged centrally between the partition walls ( 8 ). 7. Fireplace insert according to claim 6, characterized in that the burner block is further provided with a slider for opening and closing the opening ( 7 ) and thus for regulating the burner ( 9 ). 8. Fireplace insert according to claim 7, characterized in that the burner block is further equipped with a basket designed to hold imitation wood. 9. Fireplace insert according to claim 8, characterized in that the stainless steel tray is equipped with angles ( 13 ) for positioning the basket. 10. Fireplace insert according to one of claims 2 to 9, characterized in that the base plate ( 27 ) of the housing is provided with a recess ( 28 ) which is intended to receive the burner block. 11. Fireplace insert according to one of claims 6 to 10, characterized in that the fuel containers ( 10 ) are provided with holes on the bottom for filling and holes on the top ( 12 ) for ventilation. 12. Fireplace insert according to one of the preceding claims 8 to 11, characterized in that the basket is formed from an arrangement of U-shaped brackets ( 18 ) made of profile steel. 13. Fireplace insert according to one of the preceding claims 7 to 12, characterized in that the slide consists of a U-shaped bracket ( 14 ), the front side of which is connected to a lever ( 17 ) intended for actuation.
