1. Seating with an adjustable leg rest,

- with a lever mechanism ( 14 ) for adjusting the leg rest ( 10 , 12 ) between a retracted position and an extended position,

- wherein the lever mechanism comprises a first lever ( 16 ) and a second lever ( 18 ) which are rotatably connected to the frame ( 2 ),

- wherein the lever mechanism ( 14 ) comprises a third lever ( 22 ) and a fourth lever ( 24 ) which are rotatably connected to the leg rest ( 10 , 12 ),

- wherein the levers ( 16 , 18 ) are rotatably connected to the levers ( 22 , 24 ) and interact with one another in a dovetail manner and the leg rest assumes a substantially vertical orientation in the retracted position and an orientation substantially aligned with the seat support ( 8 ) in the extended position,

characterized ,

- that the axis of rotation of the swivel joint ( 19 ) of at least the first lever ( 16 ) is arranged above the lower surface ( 35 ) of the frame ( 2 ).
