In der Lichtwerbung sind. Reliefbuchstaben mit frontalem und auch mit frontalem und seitlichem Lichtaustritt seit Jahrzehnten als Installationsträger für innenliegende Leuchtmittel in Gebrauch. Die letzteren Buchstaben gelten als besserer Blickfang. Die als besonders guter Blickfang bekannten Reliefbuchstsben mit frontalem und seitlichem Lichtsustritt bestehen aus einem lichtundurchlässigen Unterteil (7) und aus einem Oberteil, das durch Zusammenkleben einer lichtdurchlässigen Acrylglasfrontscheibe (8) und einem Umleimer (9), der bis auf einen durchgehenden und lichtdurchlässigen Streifen, l.ichtundurchlässig ist, entsteht. Zusammengeschraubt bilden Beide ein Kastenprofil in Buchstabenform, dessen Front flächig hell und dessen Seiten als helle Streifen, vom Betrachter wahrgenommen werden. Das Unterteil und die Acrylglasfrontscheibe fertigt .in-.der Regel der Zusammenbauer handwerklich. Der Umleimer ist ein kompliziertes Kunststoffkaufteil, das vom Zusammenbauer nur geformt und geklebt wird. Es lässt sich wegen seiner Materialstärke und Form nur warm scharf abkanten und stärker biegen. Wegen der Materialstärke sind mit ihm kleine Buchstaben nicht machbar.

Reliefbuchstabe mit frontalem und seitlichem Lichtaustritt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß er aus einem U-förmigen lichtundurchlässigen Unterteil (1) und einem U-förmigen Oberteil, das durch Zusammenkleben einer lichtdurchlässigen Acrylglasfrontscheibe (2), mit einem lichtundurchlässigen, kaltverformbaren Umleimer (3) und einem lichtdurchlässigen Acrylglasaufsatz von bestimmter Höhe (4), entsteht. Und so, durch Zusammenschrauben mit Schrauben (5), zu einem Kastenprofil in Buchstabenform wird, daß ein Längsstreifen des Acrylglasaufsatzes, wegen der gewählten Höhe, unverdeckt bleibt. 1.
