Container with two threads on the neck of the container

The invention relates to a container with a neck and two threads provided on the neck, as well as a closure that can be screwed onto one thread, the second thread running, preferably perpendicularly, through the first thread.

A container of this type is known from DE 477 969. This container has an external thread on its neck, which has two relatively wide interruptions. The interruptions have no thread elevation and are used to quickly remove or place a closure on the container. The external thread is intended for precisely turning the closure.

The known container has the disadvantage that it is only designed for a single closure. It is not possible to optionally attach different closures or to attach either a closure or another element that closes the container, in particular an adapter with a pump, to the container.

In the hair cosmetics sector, particularly in hairdressing salons, containers with cosmetic products, such as hair shampoo, are used, from which portions of the product are taken using a manually operated pump. The product is delivered in a container with a cap. A pump with a screw adapter is included with the container.

After unscrewing the cap, the adapter is screwed onto the external thread on the neck of the container to prepare the container for product extraction using a pump. It takes a relatively long time to attach and remove the pump, as the internal thread of the adapter must completely run through the external thread of the container in order to attach the pump to the container.

The invention is based on the object of developing an object of the type described above in such a way that a quick and secure fastening of an adapter is possible.

The problem is solved according to the characterizing part of claim 1. The second thread then leads into a bayonet thread ending towards the container.

The container according to the invention has the advantage that it can be closed using a conventional closure using the first thread, and that it can be quickly and easily fitted with an adapter or removed from an adapter using the second thread. The end of the bayonet thread serves to accommodate a cam of the adapter. The bayonet catch holds the adapter securely and enables safe handling of a device connected to the adapter. Since the threads run into one another, the height of the neck can be minimized.

Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are described in claims 2 to 5.

If two bayonet slots and two holding slots are provided on the neck, and a holding slot is provided around the neck after each bayonet slot (claim 2), this alternating arrangement of bayonet slots and holding slots ensures, on the one hand, that the cams of the adapter on the neck are securely locked in the bayonet slots, and, on the other hand, that the adapter is held in the holding slots without play so that there is no tilting movement of the adapter relative to the container when the device connected to the adapter is loaded (claim 4).

A chamfer or recess on the first thread can be provided as an insertion aid in the second thread (claim 3). This ensures that the cams of the adapter enter the second thread in a funnel-like manner when the adapter is placed on the neck. The thread grooves of the retaining threads also have a chamfer if this advantage is to be achieved. A four-start second thread should therefore have four chamfers.

A secure position for a pump is achieved if, according to claim 5, the adapter is provided with an opening for receiving the pump.

Figure 1 is a perspective view with partial vertical section of a container with two threads on its neck, a closure screwed onto the first thread, and a second thread running perpendicularly through the first thread and ending in bayonet threads ending towards the container;

In a container 1 with threads 3, 4 formed on a neck 2 of the container 1, a thread 3 serves to receive an internal thread 5 of a closure 6 (Figure 1, Figure 2). The second thread 4 runs vertically through the first thread 3 from top to bottom and opens into two bayonet threads 7 and two holding threads 8 ending towards the container 1. Around the neck 2, i.e. distributed over 360 degrees, a holding thread 8 is provided after each bayonet thread 7. Consequently, a bayonet thread 7 or a holding thread 8 is provided every 90 degrees, and the bayonet threads 7 and the holding threads 7 are opposite each other at the opening 9 of the container 1. Chamfers 10 are provided for all four threads of the second thread 4 in order to be able to insert four locking cams 11 of an adapter 12 (Figure 3) into the second thread 4 in a simple manner after unscrewing the closure 6. After inserting the locking cams 11 into the second thread 4, the adapter 12 is rotated slightly so that the locking cams 11 reach the two bayonet threads 7 and the two holding threads 8. Bayonet thread 7 is used to prevent the adapter 12 from turning back, the locking cams 11, which are inserted into the holding threads, are held there with absolute precision so that no tilting movement of the adapter 12 relative to the container 1 can occur. The adapter 12 has an opening 14 for inserting a pump (not shown) into the adapter 12 (Figure 4). The pump holder is screwed onto an internal thread 17 of the adapter 17. A strip 16 in the opening 14 secures the pump against turning. A profiling 15 on the outer casing of the adapter 12 serves to increase the grip of the adapter 12.

Claims (5)

Container with a neck and two threads provided on the neck, as well as a closure which can be screwed onto one thread, the second thread ( 4 ) running preferably vertically through the first thread ( 3 ), characterized in that the second thread ( 4 ) opens into a bayonet thread ( 7 ) ending towards the container ( 1 ). 2. Container according to claim 1, characterized in that two bayonet grooves ( 7 ) and two holding grooves ( 8 ) are provided on the neck ( 2 ), and that a holding groove ( 8 ) is provided around the neck ( 2 ) after each bayonet groove ( 7 ). 3. Container according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that a chamfer ( 10 ) is provided on the first thread ( 3 ) as an insertion aid into the second thread ( 4 ). 4. Container according to claim 1, claim 2 or claim 3, characterized in that the bayonet channels ( 7 ) and the holding channels ( 8 ) are provided for receiving locking cams ( 11 ) of an adapter ( 12 ). 5. Container according to claim 4, characterized in that an adapter ( 12 ) with an opening ( 14 ) for receiving a pump is provided.
