Zur Funkübertragung von Video- und Audiosignalen gibt es derzeit verschiedene Systeme, die zum Beispiel an einen Receiver oder andere Quellen angeschlossen werden können, um dann das Signal dieser Quelle drahtlos an einen Empfänger in entsprechender Reichweite zu übertragen. Die Inbetriebnahme dieser Systeme erfordert ein gewisses technisches Verständnis vom Nutzer, da die Systeme mit einem erheblichen Kabelaufwand in Betrieb genommen werden müssen. Zudem muss immer ein entsprechender Platz für das zusätzliche Equipment vorhanden sein bzw. geschaffen werden. Aufgrund der zur Funkübertragung zur Verfügung stehenden Bandbreite kann lediglich ein Fernsehprogramm gleichzeitig übertragen werden. Somit muss dieses Programm aus dem digitalen Datenstrom selektiert und demoduliert werden, so dass anschließend die zur Funkübertragung benötigten Audio- und Videosignale zur Verfügung stehen. Nach der erforderlichen Verstärkung können nun diese mittels des Audio/Video-Funkübertragungs-system drahtlos übertragen werden. Im späteren Betrieb können mittels einer Fernbedienung und dem speziellen Funkrückkanal für Fernbedienungssignale die einzelnen im Speicher abgelegten Parameter abgerufen werden, so dass damit eine Selektion der einzelnen Kanäle möglich ist. In der hier vorgestellten Version der Übertragung des Audiosignals in Stereo werden die Audiosignale rechts und links auf den erforderlichen Level verstärkt (4) u. (5) und weiter zur Sendeeinheit (7) gegeben. Bei Mehrkanaltonübertragung wird dementsprechend jeder Kanal separat verstärkt. Ebenso wird das Videosignal entsprechend verstärkt (6) und ebenfalls weiter zur Sendeeinheit (7) gegeben. Ebenso können diese Signale entsprechend an der Scart-Buchse (18) abgegriffen werden. Von der Sendeeinheit (7) wird das Signal nun über Funk an den Empfänger (8) übertragen, demoduliert und über ein Verbindungskabel an einen Fernsehempfänger (9) weitergegeben. Mit der Fernbedienung (17) kann das Gerät am Empfangsort bedient werden. Dazu werden die Infrarotsignale durch einen IR-Empfänger (10) empfangen, zum Modulator (11) weitergegeben und über Funk zum Funkempfänger (12) übertragen. Im Funkempfänger (12) wird das empfangene Signal demoduliert und an eine Auswertungseinheit (14) weitergeleitet. Ebenso werden der Auswertungseinheit (14) die IR-Signale des integrierten Infrarotempfängers (13) zugeführt.
