Es sind Kuverts bekannt, die durch eine auf der Mitte in einen Schlitz einsteckbare Lasche geschlossen gehalten werden, d.h. nicht zugeklebt sind, so dass der Inhalt eines Kuverts leicht zu entnehmen ist und das Kuvert auch wieder verwendet werden kann. Ferner sind Kuverts bekannt, bei denen die Verschlussklappe mittels einer durch Entfernen einer Schutzabdeckung aktivierbaren streifenförmigen Selbsklebeschicht mit der Kuvertseite fest verbindbar ist. Der Erfindung lag die Aufgabe zugrunde, diese Kostennachteile zu vermeiden und beide bekannten Ausführungsformen des Kuverts in einer zu vereinen und eine auf zwei verschiedene Arten verschliessbare Verpackung mit wenig Herstellungsaufwand und maschinell produzierbar zu schaffen, um den Bedarf nach einer Verpackung gerecht zu werden, welche für den Versand des Inhalts entweder fest zuzukleben sein soll oder auch nur mit einem Steckverschluss formschlüssig sich verschliessen lässt. Zur Lösung der Aufgabe weist die Verpackung die Merkmale nach Anspruch 1 auf. Die Verpackung besitzt den Vorteil, dass sie beispielsweise für die Hin- und Rücksendung einer Ware mindestens zweimal verwendbar ist. Auf diese Weise kann z.B. der Kunde die von einem Lieferanten zugestellten Schriftstücke in der nicht weiter beschädigten Verpackung wieder zurück senden.
