Integrated bell answering door intercom system

The invention relates to a device according to the preamble of claim I.

State of the art

- With the current door intercom systems, a visitor announces his request for entry by ringing a bell. With the intercom system, residents can find out the identity of the person requesting entry and use the electric door lock to open the front door from their apartment or refuse to open it.

- Current answering machines are linked to a telephone connection. Information, messages or greetings, for example, can be left on an answering machine or mailbox via a telephone call without the recipient having to be present or having to announce their presence.

Disadvantages of the state of the art

- Residents have to announce their presence by pressing the intercom in order to find out the identity of the person ringing the bell.

- Messages from visitors had to be left on the answering machine, provided the telephone number and a telephone were available, and this was subject to a charge. Otherwise, the last option, as most mailboxes are located behind locked front doors, was to pin or stick a note that everyone could read.

The object of the invention is to enable easy contact between visitors and absent residents even after the event and to tactfully protect residents from unwanted visitors.

This task is solved by integrating a bell answering machine and a door intercom system.

Advantages of the invention

> No visitor has to leave without accomplishing anything; he can at least say that he was there.

> "Non-public" messages from visitors to residents can be saved.

> Announcements only or announcements followed by speaking time can be provided for visitors.

> The number of visitors ringing in your absence is saved.

The known function of a home terminal of a front door intercom and doorbell system is expanded to include the known function of a sound storage device (e.g. tape, cassette or digital storage) that can be switched off via button (1).

The control elements (1-19) are arranged on the housing of the home terminal in a sensible and useful manner; all electronic, electrical, electromechanical and mechanical components can be integrated into the housing or arranged in a separate housing. The transmission of the sound impulses and control data takes place in a suitable manner (eg via current-conducting connections, radio waves, optical fibers or light emissions).

The device is connected to the front door intercom system (bell line, voice line, door opening impulse line) via connection (A). Emergency power supply for data backup is provided by an internal battery.

If the doorbell answering machine is switched off and the LED (16) is not lit, you can respond to a ringing signal from the front doorbell as follows:

- To ignore
or

- Press button (1), ask via microphone (12), hear answer via loudspeaker (15), open front door or not via button (6).

When the bell machine is switched on with the button (1), LED (16) lights up, the listening function can be activated using the talk button (5), LED (17) lights up. If the talk button (5) is pressed again, LED (17) goes out, the listening function is deactivated. If the talk button (5) is held down, you can speak to a visitor using the microphone (12).

After the bell rings, the visitor hears on the intercom, for example: "Good day! Please be patient." The duration of the following pause is set using the control (18) (during this time, you can go to the device in the apartment and then proceed as described above).

After the break, the visitor hears the following text, for example: "Unfortunately, we cannot receive you at the moment. Please leave your name and the purpose of your visit and we will get back to you immediately. Press our bell again for the duration of your message and speak into the microphone."
The maximum recording time could be 1 minute, for example. After that, or at the end of the message, you will hear "Thank you, your message is being forwarded."
After 30 seconds, for example, the device is ready for use again.

At least one announcement must be recorded on the device in the home before it can be put into operation, and the day and time must be entered. The welcome text, the request to speak after the pause and the final announcement form a unit as announcement 1 during the recording process. The announcement texts are recorded by pressing the buttons (2) or (3) and the microphone (12). The day and time are set using the time button (4) and n button (7) or ►► button (10).

Messages can be left for roommates on the device in the apartment by pressing the memo button (13) while speaking into the microphone (12).
All messages are automatically given a "day/time stamp" and can be listened to one after the other by pressing the ► button (8). The button (7) repeats the current message. The ►► button (10) skips to the next message. The ■ button (9) interrupts playback. The delete button (11) deletes all recorded messages and memos.

In a version not shown, the system is connected to a cable
connected handset. The microphone (12) and a
additional loudspeaker (15a) in the handset, the button (5) is in the handset holder

Integration of message recording devices into apartment terminals of doorbell systems with intercom device, characterized in that a doorbell answering device is functionally linked to the apartment terminal of the intercom system. 2.
