Description
Labors). The use of the visualizing test kit is recommended in the medical/pharmaceutical sector and in food processing. In addition, it is also used wherever hand disinfection with alcoholic solutions is used for hygienic reasons (e.g. laboratories).
Hand disinfection with alcoholic solutions is the recognized method for killing pathogens on the hands. The aim of disinfection is to prevent the transmission of germs within healthcare facilities or the food sector in order to minimize the resulting hospital infections or the transmission of germs to food. The staff working in the critical areas mentioned must be trained in correct hand disinfection, as the rubbing technique is an essential prerequisite for efficient germ killing. For training purposes, hand smears have previously been carried out using agar plates. The hands or fingertips are pressed onto a nutrient agar plate and the bacterial growth is assessed. This microbiological method requires the agar plates to be incubated for 24 hours. The results are therefore not immediately available at the training and only evaluate a section of the hands. According to research by the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property, there are fluorescent solutions on the market that moisten skin and mucous membranes after disinfection (e.g. before surgical procedures). But not those containing fluorescein and those that are used for training/industry for hygienic hand disinfection.
Damit keine Austrocknung der Haut entsteht, wurde das Mittel mit RückfetterThe present invention relates to the training of medical or other personnel in the technique of hygienic hand disinfection. A formulation of a fluorescent, alcoholic solution for hands and skin was invented in connection with a technical possibility of quickly and clearly showing the wetting. Alcohol (ethanol 63% by weight and aqua 37% by weight) was mixed with fluorescent dye (fluorescein 0.1% by weight), a refatting agent (propylene glycol 0.5% by weight) and wetting agent (Tween 80, 0.5% by weight). The previous solution only contained ethanol and fluorescein (in other concentrations). The formulation was thereby significantly improved. So that the colored solution can be easily distributed on the hand, it was enriched with Tween (wetting agent). To prevent the skin from drying out, the agent was enriched with refatting agent.

(Propylenglykol) versetzt. To make the wetting of the hands and skin even better visible, the concentration of the fluorescent dye (fluorescein) was changed. The skin wetted with alcohol can be shown using a UV lamp in a darkened room or in a display case or similar. A UV lamp (365 nm (nanometer) wavelength) is passed over the hands and the wetted areas of skin are shown in light yellow, the areas not wetted with alcohol are shown in dark purple. During training, the fingertips, backs of the hands, thumbs and spaces between the fingers are often not sufficiently wetted. Training with this test has been shown to improve behavior when disinfecting hands. The trained people use two to three times more hand alcohol (own research, C. Conrad).
Ethanol absolutum wird mit Aqua (Endkonzentration 70 % V/V) versetzt. Hinzugefügt wird Fluorescein Natrium 0.1%, Propylenglykol 0.5% und Tween 80 0.5%.Ethanol absolute is mixed with aqua (final concentration 70% V/V). Fluorescein sodium 0.1%, propylene glycol 0.5% and Tween 80 0.5% are added.
