Three-dimensional field boundary
for ball racquet sports

The invention is
a new type of sports equipment.·^

There are corresponding field boundaries for all known, comparable ball-racing sports. Example: The sport of table tennis

the field boundary "table tennis table" including net. The invention does not consist in technically improving a table tennis boundary for a known sport, but in creating a new type of sport through new boundary properties.

The well-known ball racket sports are all relatively demanding in terms of coordination, so that for many people the joy of exercising or competing only comes after a long period of practice or even disappears completely.

In various areas of ball-racquet sports (especially in the tennis beginner area / see also application examples), the problem arises of creating a field boundary that allows almost everyone to practice the sport with a competitive character right away.

The solution (invention) is that the field boundary is designed in such a way that the ball passes the center

does not have to exceed a minimum height (e.g. tennis) and thus flies,

but must fall below a maximum altitude and thus essentially does not fly.

This significantly reduces the coordination requirements. At the same time, methodically useful coordination and conditioning requirements are retained or made clearer (see also application examples and advantages).

The drawing/Fig. 1 represents the inventive idea, the commonality of the task and the basic solution concept.

The implementation of the inventive idea is conceivable in numerous variants^

^f The field boundary is set up on any surface, but as level as possible. As a rule, two players stand opposite each other at a distance of about 4m and hit a medium-sized ball (light, about 20cm 0) back and forth with a tennis racket. The aim is to score goals or to make it more difficult for the opponent to return the ball. (see drawing/Pig.11)

The technical task in the concrete design is to meet specific requirements, depending on the area of application.

Examples: shipping, transport, assembly, dismantling, load, durability, storage, variability, risk of injury, price, etc.

The further embodiment of the invention is specified in claims 2-9.

The field boundary consists of planks (e.g. wooden boards).

The planks are held together by metal sleeves and are constructed self-supporting through the additional use of shelving system components.

The advantages of the invention are numerous. Let us just mention the methodological possibilities as a teaching tool in tennis:

1. The interaction of the players in racket sports can be experienced in competition without long preparatory practice, because the calculation of the ball flight is no longer a "hurdle"

2. The meeting point situation is made clearer by using a relatively large ball.

3. By rolling the ball flat, a topspin stroke technique is achieved almost automatically.

4. The low meeting point promotes a sensible use of the body (e.g. knees).

5. The characteristics of the field boundary (clear even for beginners) make the tactical possibility of going towards the ball ("taking it early") clear and tangible.

6. Other tactical elements such as ball acceleration and deception maneuvers can also be experienced early on.

Claims (10)

1. Three-dimensional field boundary for ball-racing sports, characterized in that the height for passing the ball in the middle area of the field is limited from above. ( Fig. 1) 2. Field boundary according to protection claim 1, characterized in that the lateral boundary and/or the height boundary is formed by upright planks. ( Fig. 2) 3. Field boundary according to protection claim 1/2, characterized in that the planks can be assembled and disassembled by connecting parts. ( Fig. 3) 4. Field boundary according to protection claim 1/2/3, characterized in that metal sleeves serve as connecting parts into which the planks are pushed. ( Fig. 4) 5. Field limitation according to protection claim 1/2/3/4, characterized in that the height limitation is adjustable and the entire construction becomes self-supporting through the use of shelving system components.
