The invention relates to a flying disc with a disc-shaped central part and a surrounding edge.

Such flying discs, also known as Frisbees, are used as toys and are available in a variety of designs.

It is also known to use such clay pigeons as advertising and information carriers by providing them with inscriptions, advertising texts, company names, etc. However, the advertising-effective area on the clay pigeon and the advertising effect that can be achieved with it is limited, so there is a need to increase the advertising effectiveness.

The present invention is based on the object of proposing a flying disc which can be used not only as a toy but also effectively as an advertising or information medium.

This task is solved by the features of the independent protection claims.

The invention is based on the fact that the middle part of the flying disc has a recess which is covered by a removable lid. The recess and the lid define a flat cavity which can be used to hold and package a flat object, in particular a compact disc.

The lid is preferably held in place by clamping, in that a continuous or interrupted bead is arranged on the edge region of the lid or the recess, which clampingly engages in a corresponding groove in the edge region of the recess or the lid.

If the flying disc is used as packaging for a compact disc, the recess preferably has a centrally arranged clamping device which is designed in particular for the central, clamping holding of a compact disc. The clamping device engages in the central opening of the compact disc in a known manner and holds it firmly.

To make it easier to remove the lid and take out an object, in particular a compact disc, from the cavity, the middle part preferably has a recessed grip in the edge region of the cavity.

In a further development of the invention, the cover can also be designed as a throwing disc and used separately from the main disc.

To achieve special effects or a special advertising impact, the lid can be made transparent so that the contents of the cavity remain visible.

Figure 1 shows the flying disc, consisting of a central part 2 and a surrounding edge 3. The flying disc is preferably made of plastic but can also be made of other suitable materials.

The middle part 1 has a preferably centrally arranged recess 3 which can be covered by a lid 5. The recess 3 and the attached lid 5 define a flat cavity a few millimeters high. This cavity can be used for packaging flat objects, e.g. a compact disc 9 or an advertising brochure.

To make it easier to remove the cover 5 and to remove the compact disc 9 from the recess, the recess 3 has a recessed grip 11 in the edge area.

The recess 3 can further comprise a central clamping device 8, which is designed in a known manner such that the compact disc 9 is held in a clamped manner with its central opening 10.

Figure 2 shows a section through the flying disc according to the invention. One can see the recess 3 in the middle part 1, which is covered by a cover 5. A compact disc 9 is stored in the resulting cavity and is held in place by means of the clamping device 8. The recessed grip 11 serves to easily remove the cover 5.

As can be seen from Figures 3 and 4, the cover 5 has a continuous or interrupted bead 7 in the area of its outer edge 6. When the cover 5 is placed on the middle part 1, the bead 7 engages in an associated groove 4 in the edge area of the recess 3 and is thus held in a clamped manner in the recess 3. Of course, it is also possible to provide the groove in the cover and the bead on the edge of the recess.

Claims (11)

1. A flying disc with a disc-shaped central part and a surrounding edge, characterized in that the central part ( 1 ) has a recess ( 3 ) which is covered by a removable cover ( 5 ). 2. A flying disc according to claim 1, characterized in that the recess ( 3 ) and the cover ( 5 ) define a flat cavity. 3. Flying disc according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a continuous or interrupted bead ( 7 ) is arranged on the edge region ( 6 ) of the lid ( 5 ) or the recess ( 3 ), which clampingly engages in a corresponding groove ( 4 ) in the edge region of the recess or the lid. 4. Flying disc according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cavity is designed in particular to accommodate a compact disc ( 9 ). 5. Flying disc according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cavity has a centrally arranged clamping device ( 8 ). 6. Flying disc according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the clamping device ( 8 ) is designed in particular for the central, clamping mounting of a compact disk ( 9 ). 7. Flying disc according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the middle part ( 1 ) has a recessed grip ( 11 ) in the edge region of the recess ( 3 ). 8. Flying disc according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cover ( 5 ) is also designed as a flying disc. 9. Flying disc according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cover ( 5 ) is transparent. 10. Flying disc with a disc-shaped central part and a surrounding edge, characterized in that it is designed as a packaging for a flat object. 11. Flying disc with a disc-shaped central part and a surrounding edge, characterized in that it is designed as a casing for a compact disk ( 9 ).
