Die Grundidee der erfindungsgemäßen Hinweis-Leuchte besteht darin, die Hinweise nicht direkt auf der Scheibe anzuordnen, sondern eine zusätzliche Hinweisscheibe (oder zwei zusätzliche Hinweisscheiben) vorzusehen, welche die Hinweise tragen und welche von dem aus der Scheibe ausgekoppelten Licht hinterleuchtet werden. Dieses Licht trifft - wie ausgeführt - auf die äußere Scheibe und beleuchtet diese von hinten, so daß die auf der Hinweisscheibe beispielsweise aufgedruckten Hinweise sichtbar werden. Der Vorteil dieser Hinweis-Leuchte liegt in der extrem geringen Dicke des lichtspendenden Körpers bei gleichzeitig guter Gleichmäßigkeit der Lichtverteilung bzw. Leuchtdichte. Letzteres liegt darin begründet, daß sich die Lichtabstrahlkegel der zentralen Scheibe überlappen.
