The invention relates to a drain, in particular a ceiling, floor or basement drain, according to the preamble of claim 1.

It is generally known that such drains are used to drain building surfaces. The drain housing is set into the slab, onto which the screed and, if necessary, a floor covering is laid after a liquid film has been laid, into which the top piece is inserted. Different thicknesses of the screed can be compensated for by cutting the lower tubular part of the top piece to length. Depending on the application, the drain housings are equipped with 1.5° or 90° drain nozzles. These two types of drains and the different nominal widths of the drains require different odor traps in terms of size and design.

The invention is based on the object of designing a ceiling, floor or basement drain in which a uniform odor trap can be used for both drain inclinations (1.5° and 90°) of the drain nozzle and the different nominal widths of the drain housing.

This problem is solved in a process according to the preamble of claim 1 by the features of the characterising part of claim 1.

The advantages achieved with the invention are in particular that the variety of models of odor traps is reduced and handling during installation of the drain is simplified. An advantageous embodiment of the invention is specified in the subclaims.

The drain shown in the drawing consists of a housing pot 1 with an approximately vertical side wall 2 and the housing base 3. On the housing base 3, a drain nozzle 4' protruding by 1.5° is arranged in alignment with the side of the housing pot 1, as shown in Fig. 2, or a 90° drain nozzle 4 branching off in the middle of the housing base, as can be seen in Fig. 1.

Integrated into the housing base 3 is a wall 5 which runs vertically axially to the housing center at a uniform distance from the almost vertical side wall 2 of the housing pot 1, so that a hollow cylindrical cavity 6 is created between wall 5 and side wall 2 of the housing pot 1. The upper edge of this wall 5 has a receptacle 7 for the attachment piece 9 on the outside and a receptacle 8 for the odor trap 14 directed inwards.

The top piece 9 has a collar 10 on its upper edge, which accommodates a cover grate 11. With its tubular lower part 12, the top piece 9 projects into the cavity 6. Since this cavity 6 is not limited to the housing base 2, it is no longer necessary to adjust the top piece 9 by cutting it to length during assembly. The holder 7 integrated on the outside at the upper edge of the wall 5 has a sawtooth seal 13, which acts between the inner surface of the tubular lower part 12 of the top piece and the wall 5, sealing the cavity 6 against the liquid penetrating through the cover grate 11.

The odor trap 14 is designed as a cylindrical plug-in part, the external dimensions of which correspond to the interior space 27 of the housing pot 1 left free by the wall 5. The outer area of the odor trap 14 is designed as

a hollow cylindrical water reservoir 15, closed at the bottom by a base 17, which also serves as a dirt trap. This water reservoir 15 is enclosed by an outer, circumferential side wall 16, the base 17 and an inner, circumferential overflow wall 18. The overflow wall 18 leaves a cylindrical drain opening 26 free in the middle of the odor trap to the drain connection 4 or 4' of the housing pot 1. The odor trap 14 is completed by a circumferential baffle 19 which engages approximately centrally in the water reservoir 15 and ends at a distance from the base 17 and which is attached with its upper edge to a plate-shaped end part 20. This end part 20 of the odor trap 14 has, on the one hand, inlet openings 21 in the annular area between the baffle 19 and the side wall 16 of the water reservoir 15 and, on the other hand, a flange 22 on the outside for resting on the receptacle 8 of the wall 5, which is designed as a shoulder. A sealing ring 23 with sealing lips is integrated between the cylindrical side (outer) wall 16 of the odor trap 14 and the wall 5 of the housing pot 1.

The seal 13 and the sealing ring 23 can be equipped with other known sealing profiles at any time.

The cavity 6 between the side wall 2 of the housing pot 1 and the additionally arranged surrounding wall 5 is filled with mortar or casting compound 24 after the functional height of the attachment piece 9 has been adjusted.

In the area of the drain socket 4 and 4' of both designs with 1.5° or 90° drainage inclination, the drain housing is equipped with a lateral inlet 25.

Claims (6)

1. Drain, in particular ceiling, floor or cellar drain, consisting of a housing pot with a drain nozzle, an attachment piece for receiving the cover grate and a removable odor trap, characterized in that an axially circumferential wall ( 5 ) is integrated in the housing pot ( 1 ) in such a way that a cavity ( 6 ) is formed between the wall ( 5 ) and the side wall ( 2 ) of the housing pot ( 1 ), and that the wall ( 5 ) has receptacles ( 7 and 8 ) for the attachment piece ( 9 ) and the odor trap ( 14 ). 2. Drain according to connection 1 , characterized in that the attachment piece ( 9 ) projects with its tubular lower part ( 12 ) into the cavity ( 6 ) and is supported on the inside on the receptacle ( 7 ) of the surrounding wall ( 5 ), with the interposition of a seal ( 13 ). 3. Drain according to claim 1 and/or 2, characterized in that the odor trap ( 14 ) is inserted into the interior space ( 27 ) of the housing pot ( 1 ) delimited by the surrounding wall ( 5 ) and rests on the receptacle ( 8 ) of the wall ( 5 ) with its flange ( 22 ), and that a sealing ring ( 23 ) is integrated between the wall ( 5 ) and the cylindrical outer (side) wall ( 16 ) of the odor trap ( 14 ). 4. Drain according to claim 2 and/or 3, characterized in that the seal ( 13 ) and/or the sealing ring ( 23 ) have at least two circumferential sealing lips or a sawtooth profile. 5. Drain according to at least one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the cavity ( 6 ) of the housing pot ( 1 ) is filled with mortar or casting compound ( 24 ). 6. Drain according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the part of the odor trap ( 14 ) equipped with a base ( 17 ) and forming the water reservoir ( 15 ) simultaneously functions as a dirt trap.
