Der alteingebrachte Klappmechanismus der Sonnenblenden hatte immer die folgenden Nachteile aufzuweisen. Der gravierendste Nachteil war wohl der,das ein Kopfanstoßen,mit nicht ganz ausgeklappter Sonnenblende,hauptsächlich beim Ein- und Aussteigen kaum zu vermeiden war. Außerdem ist eine richtige Einstellung der Sonnenblende,zum Sonnenstand hin an der Windschutzscheibe, kaum erreichbar.
