Neue Erfahrungen und Untersuchungen zeigen, daß bei der Benutzung einer Munddusche nur leicht haftende Essensreste aus den Zahnzwischenräumen ausgespült werden. Aus diesem Grund empfehlen Zahnärzte Interdentalbürsten. Interdentalbürsten erreichen auch festsitzende Essensreste. Sie haben aber den Nachteil, daß sie sich schnell mit Essensresten zusetzen, so daß sie zwischendurch mehrmals aus dem Mund genommen und abgespült werden müssen. Nachteilig ist auch, daß die erfaßten Essensreste zum Teil in den Zahnzwischenräumen liegen bleiben. Mit der Erfindung wird erreicht, dafS die in den Zahnzwischenräumen haftenden Essensreste mit einem Interdentalreinigungselement erfaßt und gleich durch Wasserstrahl/en weggespült werden, wobei gleichzeitig das Interdentalreinigungselement durch den/die Wasserstrahl/en ständig gereinigt wird.
