The invention relates to a device for guiding and training animals, preferably dogs.

Many people make mistakes when training a dog, for example when it comes to the command "heel". The result is that the dog constantly pulls on the leash when walking, often pushing its owner to the limit of his strength. The necessary tug on the leash is often not dosed correctly or not consistently enforced.

It is known to use devices to influence the behaviour of animals, especially dogs, for their education and training.

The disadvantage of this type of attempt at influence is that the dog does not experience any direct influence when it misbehaves and therefore no learning effect occurs.

It is also known that the behavior of dogs can be influenced using ultrasonic sensors that respond to control signals. The disadvantage of this is that direct influence on the dog is only possible if the dog has been trained to do so.

When using this ultrasound technology, there is a risk of interference from external signals, which can occur, for example, when several dogs are guided on the same site using the same technology.

Furthermore, a device for leading and training a dog is known, according to which a collar is arranged on a dog leash that can be connected to a collar, whereby the collar can be used to provide acoustic and/

or electrical impulses such as lead ¹ or a stimulus* to influence the animal's behaviour.

The strength of the impulses depends on the pulling force of the dog. This type of impulse dosage does not take into account the different sensitivity of individual dogs and can therefore trigger undesirable reactions.

The disadvantage of this known device is the relatively strong electrical impulse that occurs when the force limit is exceeded.

Between the leash and the collar with the signal transmitter, a switching element is arranged, which has a force element in a housing, which in turn is connected to the signal transmitter via a line, via which the signal transmitter can be activated when a predetermined force is exceeded, wherein the switching element is provided with a leash stop for the leash and with an attachment eyelet for the collar 5.

Another tool that has been developed for dog training is the so-called teletact device. Although the pulse strength can be adjusted, using this device requires a high level of sensitivity as well as good technical and specialist knowledge and experience.

It is also possible that an impulse can be generated by external technical influences (external transmitters).

The object of the invention is therefore to provide a device for guiding animals, which allows the leader to exert a direct influence, immediately stimulates a learning process and reduces the use of electrical stimuli to a minimum.

The problem is solved by a device according to protection claims 1 to 5.

The device according to the invention consists of a collar 1 which is continuously adjustable to the neck thickness of the animal.

This stepless closure 2 is preferably arranged on the neck side of the collar and has a fastening hook 3 for the guide line.

On the throat side of the collar there is an automatic switch 4 which preferably has two switch contacts 5 arranged on its outer sides. These contacts are preferably arranged in such a way that even if the dog pulls sideways, at least one of these contacts is activated.

A switching electronics 6 and associated power sources 7, preferably batteries, are arranged in the switching device.

The collar is attached to the dog with the leash. If the dog moves away from the handler or pulls on the leash, a pressure point that can be adjusted depending on the size of the dog is activated and an acoustic signal is triggered. If the dog does not react, an electrical impulse is emitted that can be adjusted depending on the size and sensitivity of the dog.

Claims (5)

1. Device for leading and training dogs, which consists of a collar which is continuously adjustable to the neck size of the animal and whose fastener is arranged on the neck side of the collar and is provided with a fastening hook for the lead line, characterized in that an automatic switch with switching electronics and power supply arranged therein is arranged on the throat side of the collar, which has switching contacts which, when the dog pulls, starts a sequence control which follows acoustic and electrical signals tailored to the dog. When the leash is released, the sequence control is immediately stopped and reset. 2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the contacts are arranged in such a way that even if the dog pulls sideways, at least one of these contacts is actuated, that the outer contact (facing away from the dog handler) is the switching contact, and that the leash is attached opposite the switching device. 3. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the switch-on contact is adjustable depending on the force acting on the contact, the volume of the acoustic signal, the strength of the electrical impulse according to the nature and sensitivity of the dog, the duration of the electrical impulse and the temporal sequence of the electrical impulse to the preceding acoustic impulse. 4. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that a strong acoustic signal and an amplified electrical pulse are triggered by the sequence control after a weak acoustic signal and a weak electrical pulse. 5.
