Solche Reinigungsmops sind hinreichend bekannt und dienen zum Aufnehmen von Verunreinigungen auf ebenen Flächen wie Böden oder Wänden. Es besteht nun jedoch das Problem, daß Mophalter mit unterschiedlicher Breite im Handel sind. Übliche Mophalter haben eine Breite von ca. 14 cm, daneben gibt es jedoch auch noch solche mit einer Breite bis ca. 10 cm. Aber auch schmälere Halter sind bekannt. Eine sichere Befestigung eines Mops, dessen Taschen zur Aufnahme eines ca. 14 cm breiten Halters bemessen sind, an einem bspw. ca. 10 cm breiten Mop ist nicht möglich, bei der Handhabung würde der Mop auf dem Halter verrutschen bzw. der Halter aus den Taschen herausrutschen. Je nach gegebener Breite des Mophalters wird dieser also entweder in den Aufnahmetaschen oder in den Durchstecklaschen gegen ein Verrutschen festgelegt.
