Derartige Tampons haben den sehr schwerwiegenden Nachteil, daß infolge der Kunststoffumhüllung das Saug- und Flüssigkeitsaufnahmevermögen des Tampons stark herabgesetzt ist. Dieser Mangel ist nicht einmal so sehr auf die Tatsache zurückzuführen, daß die Kunststoffhülle den Flüssigkeitszutritt zum Saugmaterial teilweise versperrt als vielmehr darauf, daß die unnachgiebige Hülle die Ausdehnung des Tampon-Saugkörpers behindert oder unmöglich macht. Wird die Hülle, wie dies beim Vorschlag gemäß dem deutschen Gebrauchsmuster 70 07 479 an sich möglich wäre, entsprechend dehnbar ausgeführt, so verliert sie bei vollgesaugtem Tampon die Fähigkeit, diesen vollständig zusammenzuhalten, und es besteht wieder die Gefahr, daß sich einzelne Fasern oder Teile des Saugkörpers ablösen und nach Entfernen des Tampons im Körper verbleiben.From the German patent 8 31 745 is also known fine protective tampon for feminine hygiene characterized in that the moisture-absorbing filling embedded in a sieve-like gauze wrap, For example, made of cotton wool, cellulose, sponge. Selbstverständlich darf die hierbei erreichte Temperatur nicht so weit ansteigen, daß der Hüllenwerkstoff zu schmelzen beginnt. Als Lösungsmittel kommen beispielsweise Mischungen von Dioxan und Aceton im Verhältnis 1 :1 in Frage. Eine beispielsweise 8%ige Lösung des Harzes in diesem Lösungsmittelgemisch kann mittels einer an sich bekannten Spinndüse verarbeitet werden. Die Spinndüse kann dabei so aufgetaut sein, daß der gesponnene Faden allseits von einem Gasstrom, beispielsweise einem Luftstrom, umgeben ist, was den Vorteil bietet, daß die ausgesponnene Lösung sehr bald durch Verdampfen des Lösungsmittels erstarrt und daß dabei infolge der Gasströmung noch eine gewisse Streckwirkung auf den frisch gesponnenen Faden ausgeübt wird. Derartige Spinnverfahren gehören zum Stande der Technik und werden aus diesem Grunde hier nicht weiter erläutert.
