Die Neuerung betrifft eine Schallplattenkassette zum Transport und zur archivmäßigen Aufbewahrung von Schallplatten.The innovation concerns a record cassette for the transport and archival storage of records.

Gegen Verschmutzung und sonstige mechanische Beschädigungen schützen diese Ständer die Schallplatten nicht. Auch sind diese Ständer nur zur Aufbewahrung, nicht aber zum Transport von Schallplatten geeignet. Es sind auch sogenannte Schallplattenalben bekannt, d. h. eine Art von Büchern, deren Seiten aus Einstecktaschen für Alben bestehen. Die einzelne Kassette gemäß der Neuerung soll eine nicht zu große Anzahl von z.B. 15 Schallplatten aufnehmen können, so daß die Kassette leicht zu transportieren und gut zu handhaben ist. Aber auch eine geringere Anzahl von Schallplatten soll in der Kassette unterbringbar sein, ohne daß die Schallplatten beschädigt werden oder sich verformen. Die einzelnen Schallplatten sollen mit ihrer Fabrikhülle in der Kassette gemäß der Neuerung unterbringbar sein und die Entnahme der einzelnen Schallplatten aus der Kassette soll einfach sein.
