The dynamic artificial foot consists of a plastic plate spring (1) bent into a slight S shape, pointing forwards and split lengthwise in the front part. The back end is horizontal and has a single vertical fixture bolt (2) and a fastening pin (7). The back part of the plastic plate spring is higher and rests against the ankle-calf part (3) of the prosthesis. A separate hollow spring (6) for the heel is attached to the back heel part.

Description

The invention relates to the design of a dynamic artificial foot for amputees.

The inventor himself is amputated on both lower legs and already in early 1950 had experi with artificial feet mented. As a young athlete - 100m runner and far springer - he is the originator of the so-called active art Fußes, who is listed in his patent specification DBP 1 261 277 is written. His previous development work was at that time by the responsible German prosthesis boycotted regulation bodies by being with them possible active runs and jumps in the German sports events were banned.

Later, dynamic artificial feet were also developed in the USA celt: VA Seattle foot. Since then, this art feet incorrectly named as a basic invention. Undoubtedly are progress using new materials te was achieved, and also in Germany old opponents of sporting events no longer exist.

With this new invention, a particularly light and constructionally simple dynamic artificial foot has arisen, which is excellently suited for everyday use as well as for sports. It can be manufactured differently depending on the concept. The base is formed by a slightly S-shaped leaf spring, which is designed as a forefoot swingarm and is only screwed into a conventional prosthetic calf part with a standard threaded bolt. This calf or ankle part is designed rounded at the front and down as a spring support. For side stabilization, a very small, vertical pin is also incorporated, which engages in the calf section from below. The leaf spring / forefoot rocker more or less forms the forefoot sole towards the front and is designed differently depending on the task. The heel piece is arranged separately from the forefoot and also made differently depending on the task, with special hollow bodies / hollow rubber springs according to experience. The advantage of this inven tion lies in addition to the light weight and various NEN usability in the very inexpensive manufacture because of its very simple construction. According to the invention as an additional novelty, according to FIG. 2, a shoe-free dynamic sports artificial foot has been developed.

The invention is illustrated, for example, in three fi gures. Fig. 1 shows the new dynamic artificial foot in side view, partly in section, with an approximately S-shaped leaf spring 1 forms the basis in such a way that a strong, vertical threaded bolt 2 creates the common connection to the prosthetic calf part 3 . This prosthesis part is designed so that it is inserted more or less far forward into the artificial foot and forms a rounded support nose 4 for the leaf spring 1 , on which the leaf spring rolls at the load of the forefoot rolling upward. (Also called forefoot swing). The leaf spring also forms the forefoot sole in a predetermined form with the toe 5 placed and generally customary. The heel part is formed by a separate hollow body 6 , which rests at the top on an inclined prosthesis calf part 3 and at the bottom obliquely forward on the leaf spring 1 and is fastened as desired. Behind the threaded bolt 2, a locking pin 7 is integrated, which engages vertically upwards in the lower leg part.

The dynamic artificial foot shown partially in section and in side view in FIG. 2 is designed as a light sports foot that has been constructed shoe-free and thus particularly weight-saving. The structure is essentially based on the figure in connection with a so-called leaf spring forefoot swing 1 , which is slit in the front in the longitudinal center and fastened at the rear with a strong threaded bolt 2 in the calf part 3 of the prosthesis. Invention according to this is the forefoot swing on its underside with so-called studs 8 or similar, as they are otherwise attached in the usual manner in sports shoes. The heel hollow spring 6 is equipped at the bottom of its appearance with a slip brake 9 and connected in the common ge with the calf part. As a cosmic forefoot approach, a more or less large attachment 10 is arranged and fastened at the front of the ankle portion of the prosthesis. In Fig. 3, the Vorfußfederschwinge 1 of FIG. 2 is shown in plan view. It is slotted in the front part in the longitudinal direction, so that two equal halves are formed, which are rounded at the front. In this simple way, there is an important side elasticity for a sports foot.
