Abgasanlage mit Katalysatoreinrichtung für eine Brennkraftmaschine der Hubkolbenbauart, die vorzugsweise mehrere Zylinder mit Zylinderköpfen umfaßt, in denen zur Steuerung von Gasströmen Einlaßventile und Auslaßventile vorgesehen sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Katalysatoreinrichtung (16) der Abgasanlage (1) einen Hauptkatalysator (17) und mehrere Vorkatalysatoren (18, 19, 20 und 21, 22, 23) aufweist, die relativ nahe am Zylinderkopf (11, 12) angeordnet sind, wobei jeder Vorkatalysator (z. B. 19) mit einer Dreiwege-Beschichtung mit geringstmöglicher Speicherfähigkeit versehen.1.
