Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a gentle process for bleaching textiles, especially colored and Delicates with preparations containing hydrogen peroxide, for their preparation on the Mitver use of heavy metal and / or chloride ions has been dispensed with.
Even though modern universal detergents already have a large number of stains from a large number of Ge can remove weave residue-free, it can always happen that certain, especially intensive or stubborn stains remain on the textiles. This is especially so a problem for the consumer when it comes to colorful or particularly delicate textiles acts that are not cooked and may only be treated with certain detergents. For For this purpose there are liquid laundry pretreatment agents in the market which are used before washing concentrated form to be applied to the stains. Usually this is more or less dilute hydrogen peroxide solutions, the small amounts of anionic or nonionic surfactants and optionally thickeners (e.g. electrolyte salts), coloring and Contain fragrances. A typical preparation of this type is described, for example, in the published patent application DE 44 13 433 A1 (Henkel).
Although the agents are carefully tested during their development to determine whether they are sensitive Do not damage tissue, as this is observed occasionally in practice, without having previously been know which parameters are responsible for the damage that can go up to pitting are. It is obvious, of course, that a consumer will hardly tolerate something valuable Silk piece is stain-free after washing, but this is bought with holes in the fabric.
The object of the invention was therefore to provide a method for treating textiles To provide flat fabrics, preferably textiles, but also fabrics and knitted fabrics, which those mentioned in connection with the use of aqueous hydrogen peroxide solutions Avoid problems reliably.
The invention relates to a method for the gentle bleaching of textile fabrics by contacting the same with aqueous preparations containing hydrogen peroxide, which is characterized in that the agents are free of heavy metal and / or chloride ions.
In extensive studies, the applicant has determined that the pitting that is occasionally observed in the treatment of textiles, in particular particularly delicate colored and delicates, is related to the presence of chloride ions, which is present in the acid medium according to the following equation via the intermediate stage of hypochlorite are oxidized to elemental chlorine:
The oxidation only takes place when heavy metal ions are present as catalysts, from which the applicant has drawn the technical teaching to act, only such hydrogen peroxide use bleach containing free of heavy metal or chloride ions, preferably however, are free of both heavy metal and chloride ions.
The term "free of" is to be understood in such a way that in the formulation of the bleaching agents on the co Chloride is not used and only such substances come into consideration for the preparations men who have the lowest possible chloride content within the technical possibilities sen. For example, sodium or magnesium chloride can be used as a thickening agent with Magne Replace sodium sulfate, with magnesium sulfate grades available on the market that are completely below have different levels of chloride. Among these, the specialist will be in accordance with the teaching select the least chloride of the invention. Of course, there are no heavy metal compounds typical components of bleaching agents, if the teaching says so, after these substances Possibility to do without entirely, this refers to formulation components that these in ver capped form included. This applies, for example, to certain dyes such as blue Phthalocyanines, which are copper complexes. The applicant has in this connection Surprisingly found that bleaches containing red dyes far more give less cause for pitting than blue colored products. Accordingly, it concerns a special one Embodiment of the invention, a method in which instead of the commercial blue colored bleaching agents red colored preparations can be used. In theory, though Presence of either heavy metal or chloride ions is sufficient to address the problem of To solve pitting, you will strive in practice to do without both substances, because by The wash water and body sweat adhering to the textiles always contain chloride ions in the system and traces of heavy metal ions from the metal wall of the washing machine can be solved. Despite this limitation of the washing process technical teaching causes every reduction in the content of the two critical components, alone or together, but a significant reduction in pitting.
Chlor verhindern. Zu erster Gruppe gehören die Stoffe der
Formel (I),
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the pitting due to chlorine formation can be reduced further by adding to the bleaching agents nitrogen-, phosphorus- or iodine-containing inhibitors which either capture and chelate ions in the sense of a sequestering agent or the oxidation of the iodide to hypochlorite or Prevent chlorine. The first group includes the substances of the formula (I),

To investigate the influence of heavy metal and chloride ions on pitting in the Be Textiles with aqueous peroxide bleaching agents were different colored rayon weave pretreated with bleaches of various compositions and then washed at 30 ° C. The textiles were then checked for damage or discoloration and according to the following Scale rated: (0) = flawless, (1) slight spot decolorization, (2) clear areal lightening of the tissue (preliminary stage for pitting), (3) clear surface lightening of the tissue and selective Decolorization, (4) = isolated pitting, (5) clear surface lightening of the fabric and pitting. Table 1 shows the mean values from 10 determinations. Preparations 1 to 6 are according to the invention, example V1 is used for comparison.
It can be seen that when using a bleaching agent with sodium chloride as Thickeners and blue phthalocyanine dye (V1) can damage virtually all tissues. Swaps If you choose chloride against sulfate or blue against red dye (1, 2), better results are immediately obtained nisse achieved. These can be improved again by adding inhibitors to the formulations adds (3, 4, 5) and also dispenses with chloride and blue dye (6).
