Abstract

The control unit allows the play-back rate of a piece of music in an audio reproduction apparatus, e.g. a record player or CD player, to be matched to the tempo set by a second audio source. The control employs a central microcontroller and an audio filter circuit for analysis of the signals from one audio source. The tempo used for play-back regulation of the signals is provided from the other audio source.

Der Zweck solch einer Tempovariation besteht darin, daß zwei verschiedene Musikstücke tempogleich aufeinanderfolgend und ohne Pause aneinandergereiht werden können, ohne daß sich Rhythmusverschiebungen ergeben müssen. Durch zeitliches Registrieren der aufeinanderfolgenden Baßtrommelschläge wird ein Delta-Wert ermittelt, mittels dem dann die Geschwindigkeit in "Bpm" (= Beats per minute Schläge pro Minute) ausgerechnet wird. Wird ein Tempounterschied der beiden Stücke festgestellt, wird danach mittels Kopplung des Geräts mit den Wiedergabegeräten (Fig. 1 (2)) die Regelung einer Audioquelle vorgenommen, so daß die Stücke gleiches Tempo haben (s. o.).
