Abstract

An ankle orthesis has a U-shaped element made of a pair of opposite side walls (1, 2) which consist each of a dimensionally stable outer part (3) and an inner lining (4), a flexible bottom part (6) attached to the side walls (1, 2) and band-like fastening means (7, 8) which encircle the side walls (1, 2). Die Knöchelorthese umfaßt eine erste Seitenwand 1 und eine dieser gegenüberliegende zweite Seitenwand 2. Jede Seitenwand umfaßt ein als harte Schale ausgebildetes formstabiles Außen teil 3. Auf der inneren Seite des Außenteiles 3 ist jeweils eine innere Auskleidung 4 vorgesehen. Auf der dem Außenteil abgewandten inneren Seite der Auskleidung 4 ist eine körper verträgliche Innenauskleidung 5 vorgesehen. Die beiden Seiten wände 1 und 2 sind bodenseitig mit einem biegsamen Bodenteil 6 verbunden und bilden so ein U-förmiges Element. Im mittleren und oberen Bereich der Seitenwände sind Verschlußbänder 7, 8, 7′, 8′ angebracht, die zum Befestigen bzw. Umschlingen der um ein Bein angelegten Knöchelorthese dienen.
