Dabei werden das Bettgestell und die Matratze ggf. derart aufgeheizt, daß die hierbei aufgenommene Wärmemenge ein wirkungsvolles Nachtrocknen sicherstellt. Falls die Eigenwärme der Matratze keine ausrei chende Trocknung gewährleistet, kann in erfindungsgemäß beson ders vorteilhafter Weise eine Wärmestrahl-Einrichtung, bei spielsweise in Form einer Infrarotleuchte, vorgesehen werden. Die Trocknungsprozedur dauert etwa 2 bis 4 Minuten, der gesamte Waschvorgang einschließlich Trocknung etwa 9 Minuten. Um ein Eindringen des Reinigungsfluides in die Matratze zu verhindern, ist es in vorteilhafter Weise möglich, die hinsichtlich des Eindringens ggf. relevanten Bereiche, insbesondere einen Reiß verschluß, durch gezieltes, insbesondere tangentiales Anblasen mit Luft abzuschirmen. In vorteilhafter Wiese sitzt die aufge richtete Matratze im Bereich einer Längs-Schmalseite auf einem stationären Rost oder Sieb auf. Unter diesem Rost oder Sieb ist in vorteilhafter Weise ein Saugkanal angeordnet.
