Kurzzeitig danach werden auch die Siegelbacken 31, 32 und 131, 132 der einzelnen Paare geschlossen, so daß unter der Einwirkung von Druck und Wärme Quernähte 7 an den Schläuchen 3, 4 gebildet werden. Nach dem Zurückfahren der Siegelbacken 31, 32 und 131, 132 fährt ein Trennmesser 37 und 137 in den Zwischenraum zwischen den Klemmbacken 33, 35 bzw. 133, 135 und durchschneidet die jeweilige Quernaht 7 der Länge nach, wobei an der gerade gefertigten Schlauchbeutelpackung 6 eine Kopfnaht, und am neuen Schlauchende eine Bodennaht gebildet wird. Danach werden die Trennmesser 37, 137 und die Klemmbacken 33, 34, 35, 36 und 133, 134; 135, 136 wieder in die Ausgangsstellung zurückgezogen. Gegen die äußeren Siegelbacken 31, 131 drückt die Kolbenstange 49 je eines in den Traversen 26, 27 sitzenden Hydrozylinders 50, 150 im entgegengesetzten Sinne wie die Hydrozylinder 46, 47 und 146, 147. Das Auseinanderbewegen in die Ruhestellung der einzelnen Siegelbacken 31, 32 bzw. 131, 132 jeder Siegeleinheit 21, 22 bewirken je zwei Schraubenfederpaare 51, 52 und 151, 152, deren einzelne Federn mit ihrem einen Ende mit den Traversen 26, 27 fest verbunden sind und auf Zug wirken. Das andere Ende der Schraubenfedern der Schraubenfederpaare 51, 151 ist an Winkeln 53, 153 aufgehängt, die an den Jochen 43, 143 befestigt sind. Das bedeutet, daß die jeweiligen Klemmbackenpaare 33 bis 36 bzw. 133 bis 136 nicht mittels der oben beschriebenen Verbindungsstangen 67, 68 zwangsgekoppelt sind. Vielmehr sind die jeweils gegenüber angeordneten Klemmbacken jedes Klemmbackenpaares 33, 34; 35, 36; 133, 134; 135, 136 beispielsweise mittels eines Kettentriebes oder mittels Zahnstangen so gekoppelt, daß bei der Bewegung einer mit einem Pneumatikzylinder gekoppelten Klemmbacke zwangsläufig die dem Klemmbackenpaar zugeordnete Gegenbacke zu- oder wegbewegt wird.
