Bei den meisten liegen die Tabletten oder die Dragees völlig ungeordnet oder in einer Ebene angeordnet im Innern der Packung. Zum Zweck der Entnahme wird mit Hilfe eines Schiebers oder eines abnehmbaren bzw. aufklappbaren Deckels eine Auswurföffnung freigegeben. Mit jeder Entnahme wächst der Leerraum im Innern, und dabei nimmt die freie Bewegungsmöglichkeit der noch vorhandenen Tabletten zu. Diese unterliegen dadurch einem erhöhten Abrieb, werden unansehnlich oder bröckeln sogar ab, wodurch die Dosierungsgenauigkeit überdies in Frage gestellt'wird.
