Durch die Vorrichtung wird weiter erreicht, dass die Umschläge sauberer und beschädigungsloser geöffnet werden, ohne dass meist die auf der Rückseite der Umschläge vermerkte Absenderanschrift oder die in den Umschlägen einliegenden Schriftstücke selbst verletzt werden, wie es bei der bisherigen umständlicheren Öffnungs art oft geschehen ist. Bei der enormen Zahl der täglich zu öffnenden Briefe ergäbe die neue Öffnungsart bei leichterer Handhabung vor allem aber eine merkliche Zeitersparnis (namentlich in Betrieben mit gröeeerem postverkehr). Zu diesem Zweck wird an den Umschläge des postalischen Verkehrs bisheriger Herstellungsart unter der Verschlussklappe am oberen Umschlagrand eine Aufreiß- vorrichtung in entsprechender Stärke angebracht, die aus geeignetem Material (FadetLaus Zwirn, verstärktem Papier, Cellophan usw.) besteht und zum Anfassen der Aufreißvorriohtung etwa einen Zentimeter über das Umschlagformat hinausreicht (siehe beigefügte Modelle).Description The device is intended to be used for the faster and more convenient opening of closed letters and other envelopes in postal traffic without having to use letter openers, scissors, knives, hairpins, etc. as before.
