Im letzteren Falle ist der Kasten ohne Boden ausgeführt, wobei die Platte mit den Halterungen und den eingesteckten Dias eine geschlossen herausnehmbare Baugruppe bzw. einen Einsatz bildet. Diese Konstruktionen sind nachteilig, da in beiden Fällen einzelne mit Dias bestickte Halterungen nicht auswechselbar sind. Sitzen die Halterungen z. B. fest auf dem Kastenboden, so muß der Vorführer die Halterungen leer machen und neue Dias einsetzen, was umständlich und zeitraubend ist. Der selbe Nachteil tritt in Erscheinung, wenn die Halterungen auf einer Platte befestigt sind, die der Vorführer neben dem Vorführgerät aufstellt, da auch hier die Halterungen entleert und neu bestückt werden müssen.
