Zum Streichen von Oberflächen, insbesondere von Wänden und Decken, sind Farbroller mit einem "Überzug aus saugfähigem Material wie Lammfell, Plüsch, Schaumstoff oder dgl·, bekannt geworden. Je nach Beschal fenheit des verwendeten Materials für den Mantel wird mit diesem !Farbroller ein glatter oder genarbter Anstrich erzielt. Fin Bezug aus Lammfell oder Plüschgev/ebe z. B· vermittelt einen glatten Anstrich, wogegen ein Bezug aus Schaumgummi oder porösem Schauastoff eine orangenschalenartige Struktur gibt. Je nach dem, ob die Porosität oder Oberflächenbeschaffenheit des Mantels grob- oder feinporig ist, wird auch die Anstrich-Struktur ein gröberes oder feineres Sorn aufzeigen. Um bestimmte Anstrich-Strukturen, z. B. tropfenförmige, fisehgrätenartige, spiraiige u. dgl. zu erzielen, waren bisher zwei. Arbeitsgänge erforderlich. Aufgabe war es also, ein Gerät su konstruieren, mit dessen Hilfe es möglich ist, Anstrich und eine beliebige Strukturbildung in einem Arbeitsgang vorzunehmen, damit ein ungleichmäßiges Auftrocknen oder vorzeitiges Anziehen des Anstriches zwischen den sonstigen zwei Arbeitsgängen, nämlich Aufstrich und Prägung, vermieden wird. Diese Aufgabe ist durch den erfindungsgemässen Farbroller dadurch gelöst, daß als Mantel ein saug— fähi_ber, elastischer Schaumstoff Verwendung findet, der an seinem Umfang mit zeichnerischen Vertiefungen oder relief artigen 3?rhöhungen( Verwendung findet) versehen wird.
