Dieses Steckeisen besteht aus einem gufseisernen cylindrischen Körper A, der inwendig hohl-und mit einem hölzernen Stiele B versehen ist, welcher durch die Hülsen C und D festgehalten wird. Der cylindrische Körper ist an einem Ende fläch und am anderen Ende konisch ausgespitzt. An diesem letzteren Ende ist eine Stahlspitze E angebracht, welche in den gufseisernen Körper eingegossen oder eingeschraubt wird. Diese Stahlspitze dient dazu, das Ausbrechen oder Stumpfwerden des Pfahleisens zu verhüten. Diese Pfahleisen können jedoch ganz von Gufseisen (ohne Stahlspitze) bestehen, für Anwendung derselben in lockerer Erde. Zur Verstärkung des cylindrischen Körpers sind inwendig eine gewisse Anzahl Rippen F- angegossen.
