Um dies zu umgehen, wird das Verfahren des Hauptpatentes dahin abgeändert, daß die wassergekörnte Hochofenschlacke zunächst, für sich allein mit gespanntem Dampf behandelt und danach mit der erforderlichen Menge von Ätzkalk versetzt wird. Beim Mischen der beiden Materialien entsteht ein trocknes Gemenge, welches in geeigneten Mehlapparaten nun ohne Vortrocknung zu Staub vermählen werden kann.
