; Es sind Narkosemittelverdunster bekannt, die einmal auf ihrer Oberseite mit einem Einfüllstutzen und zum andern an ihrer Unterseite mit einem Ablaßventil versehen sind. Der Einfüllstutzen ist mit einer Verschlußschraube versehen, die zum Einfüllen abgenommen werden muß. Nach Gebrauch wird der Narkosemittelverdunster durch öffnen des Ablaßventils entleert. Weiter sind auch Narkosemittelverdunster bekannt, bei denen der Behälter ohne Einfüllstutzen und Ablaßventil ausgerüstet ist. Die Behälter werden vor und nach dem Gebrauch zum Füllen bzw. Entleeren auseinandergenommen. Die bekannten Verdunster sind weiterhin so ausgebildet, daß sie jeweils nur für ein bestimmtes Narkosemittel bzw. für eine bestmimte Narkosemittelgruppe verwendet werden können. Das bedeutet, daß sie nur für dieses Narkosemittel bzw. für diese Narkosemittelgruppe die gewünschte Narkosemittelkonzentration im Gasgemisch ergeben. Alle die bekannten Geräte haben jedoch den Nachteil, daß die Verdunster auch unbeabsichtigt mit unterschiedlichen Narkotika gefüllt werden können, ohne daß dies für die Bedienungsperson irgendwie erkennbar wird. Es kann beispielsweise ein für Äther bestimmter Narkosemittelverdunster der bekannten Bauform mit Halothan oder einem anderen Narkosemittel gefüllt werden, wobei jedoch der Verdunster selbst auf die Verwendung eines anderen Narkosemittels nicht eingestellt ist.
