Die Kopfschrauben, welche aus Stabeisen hergestellt werden, verteuern sich ganz erheblich dadurch, daß von dem Stabeisen mit Rücksicht auf den Kopf sehr viel Material, das als Abfall schlecht bezahlt wird, abgedreht werden muß. Es ist nicht ausgeschlossen, die erweiterte, auf den Kopf b passende Aushöhlung des Körpers c wie den Kopf b selbst konisch zu gestalten, um eine innige Vereinigung zwischen b und c zu erzielen. Auf diese Weise kann man Schrauben desselben Durchmessers Köpfe verschiedener Abmessungen geben, ohne daß die Massenfabrikation dadurch nachteilig beeinflußt würde. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist die Möglichkeit der Verwendung verschiedenen Materials, wie z. B. von Stahl Und Eisen oder diesem und Metall. Die auf diese Weise erhaltenen Abfälle sind gegenüber den nach dem alten Herstellungsverfahren erzielten Mengen verschwindend geringe.ίο bar iron is used, which is only slightly stronger than the bolt of screw a should be.
