1877. Klasse 14. JOHANN NICOLAUS REENSTJERNA in STOCKHOLM. Sich selbst fortbewegende Locomobile. Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 16. September 1877 ab. Die Dampfmaschine liegt unter dem Kessel zwischen den Eisenplatten u. Bei der neuen Locomobile wird der Tragkörper für die Vorderräder des Wagengestelles als Vorwärmer für die Erwärmung des Speisewassers benutzt, wie aus der Fig. 1 ersichtlich ist. Der Dampf aus den Cylindern strömt nämlich durch das Rohr α in der Richtung der Pfeile, während das Wasser durch das Rohr b eingepumpt wird. Dieser Theil der Maschine dient demnach zwei verschiedenen Zwecken. Dasselbe ist auch bei den Hinterrädern W des Wagens der Fall, indem diese, auf der Axe G2 aufgekeilt, sowohl der Maschine beim Fahren als Laufräder dienen, als auch beim Arbeiten als Treib- und Schwungräder fungiren. Für jenen Zweck werden die Schrauben R3 so weit in die Mutter zurückgeschraubt, dafs die Räder allein die Last der Maschine tragen. Soll die Maschine arbeiten, so werden die Vorderräder, wie gewöhnlich, durch Hemmkeile gesperrt (s. Fig.), und der Hintertheil der Locomobile an der Feuerbüchse, mittelst der in der Console q3 Jt3 angebrachten Schrauben R3 auf einer Unterlage von Bohlen oder Balken gehoben, bis die Hinterräder hinlänglich hoch über der Erde schweben, um sich frei drehen zu können, z1 ist ein Drahtseil, welches in die Rinne des Treibrades eingelegt ist; y ist eine Riemscheibe für Transmission der Kraft durch Riemen. Die Exceriterscheibe z, welche die Speisepumpe treibt, trägt ebenfalls eine Riemscheibe, für die Bewegung des Regulators.
