Der Zusammenbau der Teile ist umständlich und erfordert meistenfalls ein spezielles Hilfswerkzeug. Die ausnutzbare Ausspreizungsweite des Klammerrnaules ist bei diesen Aufhängeklammern gering. Des weiteren besteht bei ihnen die Gefahr der Beschädigung des geklammerten Stoffes durch Rost, sofern nicht zur Vermeidung solcher Beschädigungen teures rostfreies Material verwendet wird. Die Gardinen, Stoffe od. dgl. können deshalb vielfältiger gefaltet und auch dicke Stoffe geklammert werden. Da keine Federspannung zu überwinden ist, ist diese Aufhängeklammer im Gebrauch handlicher als die bekannten Klammern. Die Aufhängeklammer kann bereits vor ihrem Anbringen auf die erforderliche Maulbreite eingestellt werden. Ist der Vorhangstoff dann in das Klammermaul eingebracht, werden die Klemmbacken von Hand zusammengedrückt und so der Stoff festgehalten.
