Der erfindungsgemäße stempelartig bewegte Nachpreßbalken hat den Vorteil, daß keine Mittel, z. B. Niederhalter, zum Festhalten der Folie während des Zusammendrückens der Naht erforderlich sind. Die Folie wird nicht mehr verzerrt. Nur noch auf einer Seite ist ein Druckwerkzeug erforderlich. Ferner kann auf die gesamte Schweißnaht verhältnismäßig lange ein gleichbleibender Druck ausgeübt werden, der ohne Gefahr einer Verzerrung ziemlich hoch sein kann.
