Bei dem Ofen nach vorliegender Erfindung sind zwei, drei oder mehr über einander angeordnete, verschieden weite Roste mit einer an den Schornstein angeschlossenen Kammer verbunden und nur durch einen aufrechtstehenden Rost von dieser geschieden. Der Müll wird nach Oeffnen einer oder mehrerer oben angebrachter Klappen ρ auf den oberen, mit weiten Spalten versehenen Rost α geschüttet. Es können mehrere derartige Oefen an denselben Kamin angeschlossen werden, und zwar werden dann die nach diesen führenden Verbindungskanäle so angeordnet, dafs sie sich durch Schieber absperren lassen.
