Um diesen Schwierigkeiten zu begegnen, hat man die Zylinderlaufbuchsen an Stelle eines gewöhnlichen Bundes mit einem größeren Ringflansch versehen, wodurch eine größere Auflagefläche auf dem Sitz des Kurbelgehäuses entsteht, so daß die Flächenpressung herabgesetzt wird. Durch den Ringflansch 13 verläuft der Kühlflüssigkeitskanal 18 für das flüssige Kühlmittel, durch den es vom Kühlflüssigkeitsraum 19, der die Zylinderlaufbuchse 14 unmittelbar umspült, in den Kühlflüssigkeitsraum 20 im Zylinderkopf 12 strömt. In jedem Kühlflüssigkeitskanal18 ist oben im Ringflansch 13 eine dünnwandige Buchse 21 eingepreßt, deren herausragender Teil zusammen mit der Bohrung des Kühlflüssigkeitskanals 18 im Zylinderkopf 12 einen als Labyrinth dienenden Ringspalt 22 bildet. In einer Ausnehmung 23 ist ein Abdichtring 24 eingesetzt, der durch die Spannkraft der Zylinderkopfverschraubung und auf Grund der eingesetzten Buchse 21 allseits dichtend angedrückt wird. Die Abdichtung gegenüber -dem Brennraum 25 erfolgt durch eine Dichtung 26. Um die heiße Zone im Bereich des Bundes 14' der Zylinderlaufbuchse 14 durchdringend zu kühlen, sind hier Kühlflüssigkeitskanäle 27 vorgesehen, die vom Kühlflüssigkeitsraum 19 zum Kühlflüssigkeitskanal18 verlaufen.
