1877. Klasse 77. JOHANN PETER BECKER jr. in REMSCHEID. Schraubenversteilung an Schlittschuhen. Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 7. October 1877 ab. Der Gegenstand der Erfindung ist die Herstellung einer neuen Befestigung der Schlittschuhe an den Fufs. In der beiliegenden Zeichnung ist .in Fig. 1 die Seitenansicht des oberen Theiles eines Schienen-Schlittschuhes, mit dem von mir erfundenen neuen Befestigungsmechanismus versehen, dargestellt. A ist die Sohle, die vorn durch den Träger und hinten durch das Gehäuse y, von dem nur die eine rechte Hälfte gezeichnet, auf der Schiene ruht. Die unter der Sohle A angebrachte Schraubenverstellung besteht aus folgenden Theilen.1877. Class 77. JOHANN PETER BECKER jr. in REMSCHEID. Screw adjustment on ice skates. In the accompanying drawing, FIG. 1 shows the side view of the upper part of a rail ice skate, provided with the new fastening mechanism invented by me. A is the sole that rests on the rail at the front through the carrier and at the back through the housing y, of which only one right half is drawn. The screw adjustment attached under sole A consists of the following parts.

nach vorn geschnittenen Ausschnitten e an ,den
sie haltenden Schrauben /. In der Mitte der Sohle sind sie charnierartig durch einen Zapfen η
mit Linksgewinde, der in einem länglichen Ausschnitte m der Sohle gleitet, verbunden. Die
Absatzklammer c gleitet in einem rechteckigen Ausschnitte g der Sohle und wird gleichzeitig
in dem Gehäuse fi und an den Einschnitten ζ durch die Schlittschuhe geführt. An ihrem
hinteren Theile ist unten ein Ansatzstück h angebracht, das mit Rechtsgewinde versehen ist.
Die Sohlenklammern werden mit der Absatzklammer durch das Stahlstück b, welches mit
seinem Linksgewinde in das Linksgewinde des Zapfens η an den Sohlenklammern- und mit
seinem Rechtsgewinde in das Rechtsgewinde des Ansatzstückes d der Absatzklammer einfafst, verbunden.
Bewegt werden die Gewinde mit Hülfe des Schlüssels d, der auf das hintere kantige,
abgesetzte Ende des Stahlstückes b aufgesetzt wird.cut out cutouts e to the front, the screws holding them /. Beim Gebrauche dieses Schlittschuhes fällt die bei allen anderen bekannten Schlittschuhen
nöthig werdende Adjustirung der Klammern mit Bezug auf die Fufsbekleidung des Laufenden

Die Action der Schraubenverstellung ist folgende: Wenn mit dem Schlüssel d ein Druck
nach vorn auf das Stahlstück b ausgeübt wird, so schieben sich die Sohlenklammern α infolge
des Gleitens des sie charnierartig verbindenden Zapfens η in dem länglichen Ausschnitte m der
Sohle ebenfalls nach vorn und infolge ihres eigenen Gleitens in den schrägen Ausschnitten e
an den Schrauben / nach innen. Sobald der Zapfen η das vordere Ende des Ausschnittes m
der Sohle erreicht und sich gegen die letztere festgesetzt hat, wird das Stahlstück b, unter
Ausübung eines leichten Druckes auf dasselbe, durch den Schlüssel d nach links gedreht. Das
Linksgewinde in dem festgesetzten Zapfen η kommt äufser Wirkung, und das Rechtsgewinde
bringt das Ansatzstück h der Absatzklammer, und also auch diese letztere selbst rasch nach

Vor dem Anziehen des Schlittschuhes werden die Sohlenklammern auseinandergedrückt, infolge
dessen gleitet der Zapfen η in dem länglichen Ausschnitte m und die Absatzklammern in dem
rechtwinkligen Ausschnitte g nach hinten. Der Schlittschuh wird dann auf die Fufssohle gelegt,
und die Sohlenklammern werden durch Verschieben des Stahlstückes b mit dem Schlüssel
fest an die Sohlen der Fufsbekleidung angedrückt Wird hierauf das Stahlstück b mit dem
Schlüssel nach rechts gedreht, so zieht das Rechtsgewinde die Absatzklammer zurück und
in den Absatz hinein, während das Linksgewinde die Sohlenklammern nach vorn, bezw. nach

In Fig. 5 ist die Erfindung dahin modificirt, dafs das mit Rechts- und Links-Endgewinde versehene
Stahlstück b von seiner Mitte aus gedreht wird. Diese Modification läfst sich besonders
vortheilhaft auch zur Adjustirung der Klammem bei anderen Schlittschuhen, so z. B.
in Verbindung mit der von mir erfundenen Hebelverstellung anwenden.In Fig. 5 the invention is modified so that the piece of steel b provided with right and left end threads is rotated from its center.
