Erfindung betrifft ein HaIb-Invention relates to a half

Beim Auftreffen des Geschosses werden die Fasern des Fleisches zuerst von dem freiliegenden Kerntheil etwas eingedrückt, wodurch sie gespannt werden und etwa in der punktirt angegebenen Curve verlaufen. Beim weiteren Eindringen des Geschosses kommt mit diesen nach innen zu ausgebogenen Fasern der abgesetzte Theil c des Geschofskernes nebst Mantelkante in Berührung, wodurch die Fasern noch in gespanntem Zustande von der scharfen Kante des Mantels durchschnitten werden, und zwar etwa an den Punkten d. Sobald das Stück d-d der Fasern ausgestanzt ist, kehren diese infolge ihrer Elasticität in ihre Anfangslage zurück, wobei die Punkte d etwa nach d^l zurückschnellen. Es ergiebt sich dann, dafs das entstandene Loch einen gröfseren Durchmesser besitzt als das Geschofs und dafs also eine Wirkung erreicht wird, die mit den bisherigen Halbmantelgeschossen nicht erzielt werden kann, da bei diesen eine ähnliche Stanzwirkung nicht auftritt.at the point where the coat
