Description
- Verfahren zum Abdichten von Überlappungen zwischen Isolier- oder Abdeckbahnen Zum Abdichten von Überlappungen zwischen Isolier- oder Abdeckbahnen hat man bisher flüssige Klebemittel, z.-B. Bitumen in Form von Lösungen und Schmelzen, benutzt. Diese Arbeitsweise stößt jedoch auf Schwierigkeiten, wenn die Isolier- und Abdeckbahnen aus Polyisobutylen, Polyisobutylengemischen, Polyvinylchlorid, Chloroprenpolymerisaten und ähnlichen Kunststoffen bestehen, da die bekannten Klebstoffe nicht an Polyisobutylen und den übrigen genannten Kunststoffen haften. Man hat daher versucht, eine Abdichtung zwischen solchen Bahnen in der Weise zu erreichen, daß man die Bahnen an den Überlappungsstellen mit Lösungsmitteln zum Quellen brachte und sie anschließend durch Einwirkung von Druck und Wärme miteinander verband.
- Diese Methode war nicht nur ziemlich umständlich, sondern hatte auch nicht den gewünschten Erfolg.
- Erfindungsgemäß erzielt man eine Abdichtung an den Überlappungen zwischen Isolier- oder Abdeckbahnen aus Polyisobutylen, Polyisobutylengemischen, Polyvinylchlorid, Chloroprenpolymerisaten oder ähnlichen Massen, wenn man zwischen die Bahnen an den sich überlappenden Stellen selbstklebende Streifen aus niedermolekularem Polyisobutylen, niedermolekularen Polyisobutylengemischen oder aus niedermolekularem Polyvinylchlorid einlegt, das mit wenig flüchtigem oder nicht flüchtigem Weichmacher, z. B. mit Dioctylphthalat, weichgemacht ist, und diese Streifen durch Andrücken bei normaler Temperatur mit den sich überlappenden Isolier- oder Abdeckbahnen verbindet.
- Die selbstklebenden Streifen sind bei geeigneter Materialzusammensetzung unter den klimatischen Temperaturbedingungen beständig, d. h. sie fließen bei höheren Temperaturen weder ab, noch werden sie bei tieferen Temperaturen spröde. Auf Grund ihrer Plastizität gewährleisten sie auch dann eine feste Abdichtung zwischen den sich überlappenden Stellen der Isolier- und Abdeckbahnen, wenn sich diese verhältnismäßig starren, mit dem Untergrund verklebten Bahnen bei Bewegungen oder beim Reißen des Untergrundes verschieben. Die durch Andrücken mit den Isolier- oder Abdeckbahnen verbundenen Streifen werden sich zwar etwas verformen, sie reißen jedoch nicht.
- Zur Variierung der Plastizitätseigenschaften der Einlegestreifen kann man ihrem Material auch Füllstoffe beigeben. Hierfür kommen mineralische Füllstoffe, ferner Ruß in Frage. Letzterer vermittelt zugleich Lichtschutz. Außerdem können in die Einlegestreifen Gewebe, Kunststoffbahnen und ähnliche flächige Einlagen eingebettet sein.
- Um ein Zusammenkleben der Einlegestreifen zu vermeiden, die zur Lagerung und zum Versand zweckmäßig aufgerollt werden, ist es vorteilhaft, sie mit einer lose anhaftenden Abdeckfolie, z. B. aus hochmolekularem Polyvinylchlorid, zu versehen, die vor Gebrauch entfernt wird. Zur Verringerung der Adhäsion der Abdeckfolie am Einlegestreifen kann man z. B. mit Talkum bestäuben.
- In der Zeichnung zeigt F i g. 1 einen Schnitt durch eine Abdichtungsstelle zwischen sich überlappenden Abdeck- oder Isolierbahnen 1 und 2. Ein selbstklebender Streifen 3 ist an der Überlappungsstelle zwischen die abgeschrägten Bahnen eingelegt und mit diesen verbunden. Die Verbindung erfolgte durch An drücken in Richtung des Pfeils 4. 5 stellt die Klebeschicht dar, mit der die Bahnen 1 und 2 mit dem Untergrund 6, z. B. aus Beton, verbunden sind.
- F i g. 2 zeigt in perspektivischer Darstellung einen aufgerollten Einlegestreifen 3, der mit einer Abdeckfolie 9 versehen ist.
Claims (2)
- Patentansprüche: 1. Verfahren zum Abdichten von tJberlappungen zwischen Isolier- oder Abdeckbahnen aus Polyisobuetylen, Polyisobutylengemischen, Polyvinylchlorid, Chloroprenpolymerisaten oder ähnlichen Massen, dadurch gekennzeichn e t, daß man zwischen die Bahnen (1 und 2) an den sich überlappenden Stellen selbstklebende Streifen (3) aus niedermolekularem Polyisobutylen, niedermolekularen Polyisobutylengemischen oder aus niedermolekularem Polyvinylchlorid einlegt, das mit wenig flüchtigem oder nicht flüchtigem Weichmacher weichgemacht ist, und diese durch Andrücken bei normaler Temperatur mit den sich überlappenden Isolier- bzw. Abdeckbahnen verbindet.
- 2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man Einlegestreifen verwendet, deren Material mineralische Füllstoffe bzw.Ruß enthält.
